Summer paradise by Göta Kanal

Gammalrud is a farm, which is located in the northern part of the peninsula, which goes into Lake Viken and is called Vika forests. Here we conduct forestry and lamb production since 1976. Surrounded by the beautiful forest, lake Viken (the highest point of Göta Kanal) and the hospitality of Thord and Ulla, this is your idyllic home away from home. We have renovated the old farm dairy, "Mejeriet", and made it into a nice home that we rent out to guests. The ground floor consists of a hallway, a kitchen suited for 8 persons and a large living room with a cozy fireplace. The living room floor is made of hand-made bricks from the old brickworks in the nearby village Horn. The upper floor consists of one large room with wooden floor and alcoves for 6 persons. At the old canal landing, we have built a large boathouse. Here is a place, not just for boats, but also for gatherings and parties. If you´d like to go fishing you are more than welcome to rent our small boat to try your luck catching pike, perch or any of the other fish in lake Viken. There is also a sauna in the Boathouse. Gammalrud is a farm dating back to the Middle Ages. A full list of previous owners dates back to 1498. In the 1600s, Gammalrud became a manor when the first corp de logi was built by Thord Jönsson Reuterberg. In the 1800s, Gammalrud became part of the Swedish industrial history by one of the owners, Theodor Winborg, also known as “Ättikskungen” , the founder of Winborg´s vinegar and later by his brother in law, Helge Palmqrantz, an inventor and industrialist with machine factories in Stockholm. Both agricultural tools and weapons were made there. A machine gun, designed by Helge Palmqrantz to be part of the defense on Karlsborgs fortress, can be seen at the fortress museum.

Ta en paus och varva ner i denna fridfulla oas. Fin sjöutsikt från stugan och ca 300 m till bad och grillplats vid sjön. Cosy cabin only 10 minutes by car from the famous Tivedens National Park. Amazing view to lake Unden, the largest fresh water lake in Tived. Fantastic to swim in when it's warm in the summer. Amazing sunsets and a very peaceful atmosphere. Romantic. The area straight down from the cabin by the water doesn't belong to the property but welcomes respectful visitors.

Koppla av med hela familjen i detta fridfulla boende. Du bor på en lantgård med får i hagarna och skogen alldeles i närheten. På gården finns en katt och i bikupan bin. I skogen finns stigar och på sensommaren växer där mycket svamp och även bär. Grusvägen tar dig vidare mot ett litet samhälle. 3 km bort, där det finns en mataffär, en badsjö och kollektivtrafik. Med bil tar det 15-20 minuter till Vetlanda, Eksjö och Nässjö. Åker du en timma kommer du till Astrid Lindgrens värld.

Välkomna till Kärnebäcken. Huset ligger ostört på en udde i Bottensjön, med både morgon och kvällssol. Här ser man kanalbåtarna från Vättern påväg upp i Göta kanal. Endast två km cykelväg in till Sveriges reservhuvudstad Karlsborg, med Idas brygga och Karlsborgs fästning som lockar. Med bilen tar det ca 20 min till Tivedens nationalpark med vandringsleder och fantastisk natur. Huset är på 110 kvm och fullt utrustat. Bra WiFi. En oas!

Hus som ligger centralt beläget med gångavstånd till Göta Kanal. Här finns restauranger, glasskiosker, fik, minigolfbana, lekplats mm. Precis runt knuten finns fina promenadstråk och det är endast 200 meter till badsjö. Inne i byn finns alla bekvämligheter som mataffär, apotek, bank mm. Huset Jättefint och mysigt boende med stor trädgård, uterum och uteplats. Parkering precis vid huset med möjlighet att ladda elbil.

Sympathique appartement bien situé. Le logement est grand et bien aménagé. La communication avec Alexandra était facile.

Wir haben uns bei Anna sehr wohl gefühlt und die Zeit dort sehr genossen. Vor allem die Küche und die Ausstattung waren top. Balkon und Veranda waren unsere Lieblingssorte. Karlsborg ist ein nettes Städtchen und die Umgebung auch. Wir waren in Tiveden und anderen Parks wandern, besuchten Skövde und Hjo. Da wir uns auf einer Rundreise befinden, könnten wir nur 1 Woche bleiben.

Der Aufenthalt auf dem Pferdehof war für uns sehr erholsam. Die Unterkunft war absolut sauber, gut ausgestattet und man hat sich direkt wohl gefühlt. Es hat uns so gut gefallen das wir noch eine Nacht länger geblieben sind. Filip und Cecilia sind super gastfreundlich und waren bei Fragen immer direkt für uns da. Wer sich umgeben von schöner Natur und Tieren erholen möchte, ist hier genau richtig. Meine Freundin und ich können die Apartments von Filip und Cecilia nur weiterempfehlen und wir selbst kommen gerne nochmal her.
