Had a lively stay at the Bungala Beach House. Host Vanessa was fantastic, and very helpful with clear instructions and great local recommendations. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely couple of days spent on Emu Bay. Well equipped accommodation with a fabulous ocean view from the rear porch. Koalas in the tree out front and an echidna touring the garden. Christine kept in contact and gave us heaps of useful information.

Had a wonderful few days here with my dog. A beautifully kept place with an enormous yard for my dog to explore. Beautiful outlook of the back yard from the deck which was a great place to enjoy breakfast with the sounds of birds. Hosts were very prompt and helpful in their responses. Highly recommended.

we had a wonderful short break for 2 nights and had a lovely time. one morning we had a visitor from a huge kangaroo having a wander near the back porch. Next time we need to stay longer to visit more of KI

Consider us officially in love with Kangaroo Island, truly a beautiful and unspoiled part of Australia, that was a privilege to see. Kingscote was the perfect base, and Little Koboda had everything you could want and more. Plenty of space in this house - large bedrooms and tv in main room. Missed not having electric blankets or a dishwasher but the house stay warm enough with the heater in the ceiling of the main room. Interesting how both the main bathroom and ensuite were at the same end of the house. A secure backyard if we had taken our dogs with us. No beach view but lovely to see/hear a variety of birds.

The perfect romantic weekend away! Peggy and Darian were so kind and thoughtful—even though they weren’t there in person, check-in was seamless and they were quick to respond to any questions. The space was peaceful, beautifully kept, and had everything we needed for a relaxing escape. We’ll definitely be back!

We absolutely loved our stay, it was the perfect spot to access the beach. The sunset and sunrise views from the lounge and kitchen table were amazing. We could even watch the dolphins in the bay morning and night. Our two young children also loved the place, we had access to a high chair and portacot. We would very happily stay here again. Lovely and clean.

After a month of travelling around the country, we arrived in this wonderfull house. A place to stop and rest. It is just marvellous to wake up in such a place, the view is splendid. The guests are available if you need anything. We have been there with friends and family, the house is very beautiful and well organised. I could just recommend it! :) Céline, From Belgium

Great location for us golfers. Good house layout for us. Plenty of books, pool table and table tennis board. Didn't spend a lot of time there because we had the Australian Senior Golf Tounament, but it was good to sit on the balcony and admire the view.

Thank you for a wonderful stay. Amanda went above and beyond and was extremely responsive. The place was lovely. Everything as described and kitchen was very well stocked with all necessary utensils, appliances etc. The pool was great and we all had a wonderful time. Lots of yummy food options nearby. Just finished our stay at the Rusty Shak and we are sad that it's over. The place was perfect. Exactly how it was described. An ideal little getaway for a couple to enjoy a romantic weekend away. Great value for money. Comfy bed with plenty of pillows, fluffy towels. Well equiped kitchen with all you need to cook for two. Great outdoor area with firepit to cozy up with a glass or two of wine and a BBQ to cook up a storm. Love love love the outdoor bath. Decor is beautifully presented and easy in the eye. Reverse cycle aircon to keep you comfy in any weather. Our stay was enhanced with all the little extras Katrina included, from the bubble bath to the cute yummy muffins, the full breakfast ready for us to cook and a lovely bottle of wine to enjoy by the fire. Katrina has really thought about what makes a great getaway. Great place to stay to enjoy exploring the South. Would highly recommend a stay at the Rusty Shak. I know we will be back in the future.

One of the best accommodations/locations I’ve stayed. Cosy cottage feel alongside million dollar views. Couldn’t ask for a better place to stay and will definitely be rebooking. Extremely friendly welcome with a great pub close by. Anyone that visits the island would be daft to pass up a stay at the cottage. With the warmest of regards

This is a perfect little beach shack, a stone's throw from the water. it has all the comforts you need. In particular, we found the beds really comfortable. We had an issue with hot water which Amanda addressed promptly and even compensated us more than she needed to. American river is a gorgeous sleepy town and a great place to explore the rest of the island from. Would definitely stay here again!

A great place to stay if you want a peaceful location close to a nice town and beautiful beaches. We really enjoyed Bretts cabin as a base to explore the island. It’s well equipped for cooking, great bathroom and deck to sit out in the evening and watch the stars with a glass of wine. Brett is a really nice guy and very helpful with recommendations and advice. His dog Chase is very friendly too!

We stayed here with family and friends for my birthday, and it is now my favourite airbnb ever!! The surroundings were so beautiful, and the house itself was so cozy and beautifully decorated. Would 100% reccomend for anyone planning a getaway with family and friends!! We hope to come back again! (the cows were adorable) (thank you tiarnie)

Ying’s place is spacious and clean. It has all the amenities listed by her and has a great view from the dining table. The location is perfect and peaceful.
