Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Kanawha County

We loved our stay!! It was peaceful, relaxing, and just what we needed. I suggest this place to anyone. I will say it is like glamping, the bathroom is an outhouse and not attached to the house, but it's right beside it. The bath house is walking distance and is at the end of the hill with the party barn and hot tub. We love everything about it. Overall, we loved our stay and we will be staying again!!! The host are very friendly and quick to respond to all needs. Book this place!!!

This was a highlight and at the top of most memorable stays- as a frequent traveler, I always seek out that unique place. From the Americana decor to the Raggedy Ann themed room that made me smile and remind me of childhood, as well as enjoying the stay with family, my mom loved it too- as that was her favorite doll as a child. So memorable for any generation from that era! Or for the history buffs as the place showcases decor/pieces in the kitchen, gathering room and front office. Didn’t even turn on the TV! Lots of games too. A reading nook past the bedrooms that looked super cozy. Enjoyed the back porch/deck and has a fire pit- would have loved to stay longer! And a cat visited us- very cute! The host was very generous and communicative, added the special touch with welcome notes and sign by named and personalized welcome gifts- makes it feel like a welcome home!

This was a beautiful and peaceful getaway in the mountains! I was able to relax and unwind after a hectic start to the year. Bedding was the most comfortable and I actually forgot to look at the mattress name before I left because I wanted to buy one for myself! The bathroom was really pretty and the soaking tub was great! The kitchen was very accommodating and had everything I needed! My favorite part was curling up with a good book in front of the gas fire place and watch the snow fall outside. There is a keypad to enter the home, which died in the middle of my stay. I called Nancy and they came down right away to let me in and change the batteries. I highly recommend having a 4x4 vehicle to get up and back down but still possible in a front/rear wheel drive. I will definitely be back!

The design of the unit was impressive, with a thoughtful layout and plenty of snacks and supplies that made me feel at home. The only downside was the thin walls. If you're sensitive to noise, it might be something to consider. Overall, I highly recommend this place for its thoughtful touches and the host's excellent service!

This was our second time staying here and I would highly recommend! It is a beautifully done historic home in a wonderfully peaceful location. Pet friendly which is a huge priority for us. The views and property are amazing and Mary is a wonderful host....quick response, detailed instructions and very kind & gracious.

We had a wonderful stay! This house is conveniently located in downtown Charleston in a quiet quaint neighborhood. We walked downtown and also had easy access to the interstate. Location is perfect. We have stayed in this neighborhood before. The neighborhood surrounds a power plant, but that did not affect our stay one bit. The plant is surrounded by a nice brick wall and provides extra light that also affects security. The house has plenty of privacy in the perfect gated backyard and the plant is inconsequential. We parked a car in the garage and an SUV in the driveway. The house is best for two vehicles and there is no on street parking due to the power plant. Just plan accordingly. The house is spotless and spacious. We felt completely at home. There are plenty of amenities- towels, dishes, attention to detail. The hosts were perfect, they obviously take this seriously. You won’t regret choosing this house and we will return when visiting Charleston in the future.

Susie was a wonderful host. Great stay for our family. We really loved the home. Everyone said the beds were comfortable and the two living spaces allowed us to spread out. The house was by the river with a great patio for coffee. It was nice being on the end of the street and the directions Susie gave made it easy to find.

Steven & Becky are GREAT hosts! Super friendly, quick communication and clear instructions on the place. They even left us snacks! (Kid approved snacks too!) The house was squeaky clean and cool when we arrived. The Boomer Bungalow is a cute house and feels just like home. I definitely would recommend staying here and I certainly would come back.
