Guest House Kokoro is located one block from Miyajima's Machiya-dori Street. 　When you pass through the warm curtain at the entrance, you are guided to the courtyard by stepping stones, with bamboo walls reminiscent of a Kyoto row house restaurant. The courtyard is also beautifully balanced with white marble and gravel, contributing to the calm atmosphere. From the outside, it looks like an ordinary house, but once you step inside, it has a different atmosphere that leads to the charm of the accommodation. If you ask, the owner has always liked gardening and has a wide range of hobbies. However, as mentioned at the beginning, he didn't intend to start an inn, so there are no baths, but there is no major concern as the surrounding inns can be used as an external bath. The first floor is a living room, and the second floor has two adjoining Japanese-style rooms that serve as bedrooms, allowing up to 6 people to stay comfortably. 　In the courtyard, there is a white stone character "kokoro" (heart) inscribed in the gravel. It was made by the gardener a long time ago for fun, and it is the origin of the name of the inn. He said he wants to welcome people with all his heart and help them relax and enjoy their stay.

Great place to stay, it's on the 4th floor (with no lift) but apart from that it's in a great location near the station and downtown. It's also a really large place for Japan with everything. They were even able to arrange a cot/crib for us that was really helpful. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic place to stay for a few days or an extended stay. Location is right outside of the busy city but only a 5-10 minute walk to the city life if that’s what you’re looking for. In the opposite direction you can walk 5-10 mins to go to a soccer game. There are multiple restaurants and coffee shops within a 5 minute walk and the train/bus is only a skip away that takes you all over the region. The room itself was clean, organized, private, and has security cameras on every floor outside of the apartment (pointed at the staircase). I highly recommend visitors to check this apartment out if visiting!
