Vacation rentals in Kamo District

Yuki’s stylish and comfortable renovation of a traditional home is a perfect base for a group of family and/or friends The kitchen is well appointed to prepare and share meals at the large handsomely hewed dining table. The home is nestled in the side of Mt. Kasagi’s base along a sweet babbling brook where birdsong accompanies dawn and dusk. Precious silence accompanies a sky full of stars on a clear night. Soaking in the bath overlooking the woods on the other side of the creek is the perfect way to renew after a day of exploring. A highlight of my stay was Yuki’s other project Boyko Forest Campground, which is a 30 minute drive up Mt. Kasagi. Boyko is a lovely and lively base for exploring walking trails that lead to stunning vistas and the local mountain shrine. While I was there early in the season, I can imagine how lively the center will be and what a pleasure it will be to enjoy many of the other offerings and activities his team have planned for the season.

Staying at Koda and Kero's property was very serene and peaceful. Koda was very helpful with guiding on local things to do and see, not on Nakasendo but also the Edo town Iwamura, and helped with shuttling you there. I would love to stay again in Autumn when the leaves change colours, though it was beautiful during spring and sakura time.

All went very well during our stay. We did not experience any inconvenience. Our host was infact very accommodating and always ready to help. He even allowed us to use his bicycles for free to stroll around the neighborhood. Although the place was quite far from tourists spots and supermakets so make sure to bring all things needed to avoid going out once settled in.

清掃が行き届いており、とっても綺麗でびっくりしました。電気の付け方がわからず、電話をかけたらとても丁寧にご対応くださり助かりました。カトラリー類と綺麗で嬉しかったです。ぜひまた利用したいです。

ちょっと歩けばコンビニや美味しい居酒屋もあってよかったです。 天井の高いロフトなので、暖房が床の方まで暖かくなるまでちょっと時間かかりました。 扇風機が2階にあったので下に向けて風を送りました。

Shige was very welcoming. He picked us up from Ena Station. Whenever we need to get to or from Ena station, he will arrange to drop us off or pick us up. It is a big homely space as compared to other places we stayed in Japan. This home is located within a tennis club. As it is Spring, the cherry blossoms planted in the premises are in full bloom and we get to enjoy it. My son also gets to play tennis with Shige which was the highlight of his trip. It would be good if we had our own car so that we could explore the location more. Thanks Shige for being the best host!

Beautiful home and the bath is to die for! Fill it up and it'll heat to 48°c after a while. Very clean and fantastic heating and amenities. The building does share a wall with what appears to be a bar, but all noise dies down by about 11. Great base camp for the Nakasendo trail. The train system is efficient and a short ride to Nakatsugawa station where you can catch a bus right in the parking lot to Magome Juku.
