The lodge is incredible. Set next to the Bwindi impentratable rainforest, ensured you get spectacular views and amazing sunsets. The lodge is in quite a rural location and is definitely a peaceful place to stay. The camp fire at night and the beautiful surrounding make it a wonderful place to stay. I'd definitely recommend it as a unique place to stay.

Canyon Lodges, by far, exceeded my expectations. From the moment I arrived to the moment I left I was given the upmost finest service. All the staff members were friendly, welcoming, kind and efficient. There was not a moment where I was confused or unattended. The food was top quality, well presented and importantly, delicious. Chef's Kiss! The decor was of natural colour schemes and beautifully designed. The views of the mountain tops were breathtaking. I could write an essay on my wonderful experiences. Buhoma lodge, the amazing team (chef, clean team, security, drivers, support, people management teams) and their leader Richard have hit a homerun with a 100% incredible experience in making Bwindi Gorilla tracking a real A++ experience! Team plan meals that cater to your dietary restrictions, move you through your agenda with ease while ensuring you get to your events or rides to airport or boarders with ease (on demand costing)! The Units you stay in are double bed with full bathroom and all supplies you will ever need! The Park is 20min walk or 7 min driver. Park fee is 700$USD and the Buhoma will provide you with a box lunch and water for your hike! You will track a set family through the Bwindi jungle (varies around 8km) amazing! There are local guides to book to visit trails to pigmy jungle community, waterfalls, banana gin walk and coffee/Tea plantations. The area and landscape view around the village is amazing with everyone super friendly. The lodge takes care of meals, planning and laundry as needed while you cover your fees to park, the park covers the guides and knowledge tracking of Gorillas! Bobby was a great host. His place is laid back and chill. Great view of the national park. Good food at the restaurant. Fun host.

Where do I even start? This place is pure magic. Tucked right on the edge of Bwindi’s Impenetrable Forest, it felt like we could literally touch the forest from our cabin terrace — and when the rain rolled in? Pure, soul-soothing enchantment. Nature’s lullaby at its finest. The staff? Absolute gems! Warm, attentive, and genuinely dedicated — from serving up mouthwatering meals to even handling our laundry with care. And when it came time for our gorilla trekking adventure, they didn’t just point us in the right direction — they made sure we got to the check-in spot, snacks in hand like the pros they are. The lodge also offers super comfy transfers — complete with scenic stops at lakes and rolling hills, turning the journey into part of the experience. Honestly, it wasn’t just a stay — it was the kind of trip you carry in your heart long after you’ve left. Already dreaming of the day we'll be back!

Amazing Stay!

Had a great time at this place. Gerald was kind enough to prepare a lunch box for the gorilla trekking and even dinner. Easy access to the Buhoma gate as well via car. One disappointing fact was that there were several amenities missed despite being on the list, which included wifi. Overall, great experience and huge thanks to Gerald and everyone working at the lodge.
