I visited Honesdale for a job interview and decided to turn a potential daytrip into a mini-vacation. I chose this accommodation because it was away from civilization and within some serious farm country. And man did it deliver. Carley and Eric did a great job repurposing these train cars into a guest house. The place is even on tracks. It had all the elements you need for a peaceful stay: birds chirping, cows mooing, the works. They built a deck along the action side of the house that overlooks the neighboring farms and greater landscape. Gorgeous. But the main event to me was the network of mowed grass paths around the property. Just hook yourself up with a bucket of coffee (if morning) or G&T (if later), put some hiking/cross trainers on, and get ready for a supremely awesome walk through nature. I really enjoyed staying here.

There is a nice outdoor space and porch and plenty of room in the house. The host was very pleasant, quick to respond and accommodating. We highly recommend this property.

I was looking for a place to stay with easy access to Scranton, yet quiet and peaceful. This was perfect! Super cute, comfy, clean, and cozy. Maddy is such an amazing and SUPER responsive host and her place is awesome for any kind of NEPA adventure. She’s thought of everything that you need and more! Great location! Thank you so much!
