Cottage vacation rentals in Jackson County

We are familiar with the area so we knew exactly where the cabin was, and it was perfect. Close to town and WCU, yet right on the Tuck and peaceful. Outdoor space is excellent! Great river access right on property. Had all the basics, bathroom is tight, but the outdoor space makes it all worth it.

Nathan and Talia were amazing hosts! They took every step to take the hassle and worry out of vacationing in someone else’s home. We celebrated our 10 year anniversary at the View House, and it did NOT disappoint!!!! The views - AMAZING, privacy - check, comfortable bedding - check, a kitchen with everything you need - check, well maintained grounds - check, an AMAZING hot tub - check, excellent climate control - check. I could keep going on…Seriously, my wife and I travel a lot, and we chose the View House over 30 other options in NC/GA. All I can say is we absolutely made the right choice and it met all our exoectations. It was an amazing time that afforded a much needed experience to reignite that “spark” and just get lost in each other because outside of having to to turn your focus away from the views, there are ZERO distractions! The drive up and down the mountain will also satisfy any adventurous vibes! Thank you again Talia and Nathan, hope to be back soon!!!

Lovely accommodations and gorgeous location with ample privacy. Looking out to the mountains across from the home reminded me of the Amalfi Coast with all the houses lit up at night. Magical!

We absolutely loved our stay here! It was beautiful, quiet, peaceful, and just in the perfect spot to be if you’re wanting to travel to Sylva or Cherokee. Within comfortable distances between towns, yet a quaint and quiet space. Katherine was very helpful with keeping me in check on the weather, places to go, and things to do.

James had a nice and cozy cabin for me and my family to say the kitchen was well stocked of everything you needed to cook basic meals and the view was nice and quiet. Next time I’m in town I’ll be back! Thank you James for being a great host!

Cute little cabin! The yard is not fully fenced in if your dog is like mine--she jumped up on the wood/log retaining wall that serves as part of the fence to get out of the yard. The location was great, very close to the Maggie Valley shops and also not a far drive to Lake Junaluska or Waynesville. It is a peaceful place to be, we enjoyed it a lot.

They were wonderful hosts. The place was very clean. They had anything you could need from seasonings, detergent, soap, so if you forgot something they had you covered. They even were good hosts to our furry friends. The covered porch that’s fenced in had good view and gave us peace of mind that our dogs couldn’t sneak away while we hung out in the hot tub.

Our family loved this house and our stay! We love Maggie Valley and visit at least once a year. This time we wanted something in town instead of on a mountain since our adult children were driving in and meeting us. This place was perfect. All the kiddos (adult and littles) loved the hot tub and fire pit. The dogs loved the back yard and being able to run around without a leash. The house was very clean and had a little bit of everything you would need. We all had a lot of laughs playing all the board games and was perfect for our night in before heading home the next morning. Samantha was very response and helpful when/if we had any questions. We will definitely be back to stay here again.

The views from the wrap around porch are breathtaking. Just wish we had been able to enjoy them longer. The inside is spacious and well appointed and very clean.

I can’t express how nice this cabin is, it’s beautiful. Very nice decor and comfortable beds & furniture. The upstairs loft is so cozy! The deck was spacious and well maintained, the views of the mountains from the covered porch were pretty. Parking is easygoing, no steep driveway. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming! This cabin is not far from the main highway, makes travel easy to navigate the area and explore. The cabin is a few minutes drive from WCU, which is very convenient for anyone in town visiting their college kid. I enjoyed my stay, and I recommend this place a 100%.

A last minute stay in Lake Toxaway was made perfect with Patrick’s space. My husband, dog and I felt right at home. We made lots of tea and enjoyed mornings and evenings on the deck when we weren’t hiking to waterfalls nearby. Beds were cozy, the space was so clean, and little touches made everything just right. We even grilled out on the porch our last evening in town. Highly recommend this spot!

We absolutely loved The Hobbit House and wanted for nothing while there! Our host, Donna, provided fantastic and helpful information about the house and surrounding area (restaurants, things to do, etc.). The house was lovely, charming, and had everything that we needed to be completely comfortable while there. It is conveniently located yet also private. We would definitely stay here again!

The Mayor's Cottage is incredibly cozy and charming, both inside and out. The gardens and tasteful time period decor are even more beautiful in person. The house was clean & comfortable and the thoughtful extras provided by the hosts made us feel right at home. We very much enjoyed the history of the cottage and surrounding houses, and appreciated all of the recommendations for local dining and activities. The location is perfect being both private and quiet but walkable to dining and shopping. Our hosts were very warm, welcoming and thoughtful - Hospitality at its finest.

This place is beyond amazing. The attention to detail, the cleanliness, the peace, is indescribable. The bed was one of the nicest beds I've stayed in. They have gone above and beyond to make sure that everything is part of the beautiful experience. Highly recommended! Make sure your vehicle has all-wheel drive or 4x4 to go up the dirt road, it's actually fun to get up there. You will not be disappointed staying at this place!

Cameron's place was perfect for our one-night visit to Cashiers, NC. Communication was excellent and the check in/check out process was very simple. The room was as described.

Tyler's home is perfect for a mountain getaway. It's tucked in the trees and has a beautiful porch to relax on. I would happily stay here again.

Karen’s cottage was the perfect fit for our family. This lovely little home was nicely decorated, very clean, and just as listing had described. We appreciated all of the little complementary extras that are provided to guests. If visiting this area in the future, I would certainly enjoy staying at this location again. All the best! Honesty

We had such a wonderful stay at this cozy mountain cabin! The home was absolutely beautiful—clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully maintained. The 5 acres of land and the running creek made for such a peaceful and private getaway. Our Australian Shepherd loved having so much space to roam and especially appreciated the fenced area where she could play safely. It was the perfect spot for both relaxation and adventure. Lindsey was friendly, responsive, and made sure everything went smoothly. We’d definitely recommend staying here and hope to return ourselves soon!

Thank you for opening your beautiful mountain home for us to stay this Thanksgiving!! My mother in law in hard to please and yet I felt the super close proximity to downtown Highlands, the beautiful spacious living and dining areas, and having the puppies all there in toe, made this a very special Thanksgiving for all of us!! Thank you for your quick responses and help with the fireplace and stubborn bear proof trash can. Will cannot wait to see yall again when those gorgeous rhododendrons pop with colorful flowers soon!! ❤️❤️❤️

Nancy's place was a great place to stay and visit our son AT WCU. It is conveniently located. The house is very comfortable and has plenty of space to relax and enjoy a weekend away. The kitchen had plenty of utensils and items that I could bake for our tailgate. So, that was a plus. This is definitely on our list of places to stay in the future.

We had an incredible time in North Carolina. The house was exactly as described and our big family fit in it perfectly. We accidentally forgot our dog crate and were very pleased to find a crate there that our doodle could fit in. They also had dog bowls, which was a plus! There was plenty of trash bags, cleaning supplies, and toiletries there in case we needed them. We were also very pleased with the pack n play and high chair for our 10 month old. It was such a beautiful place! We loved the fireplace and fire pit as well! It was all just really comfy and cozy. Couldn’t have asked for a better way to spend New Year’s Eve! Thank you Robbin for being so accommodating and welcoming.
