Mr James’ property was a calm retreat, away from the hustle and bustle of cities and daily life. A bubbling pond below wafts music of water upwards, and the air is filled with bird song and breeze. Mr James’ attention to detail is imprinted through the land, from miles of walking and UTV trails, to rock fire pits, pretty lantern lights to light each camp site. There are endless nooks and solitary retreats tucked away, perfect for reflection, conversation or reading. The lakes and ponds, walking trails and beautiful sites beckon so winsomely, you’ll find yourself meandering for hours outside exploring the wild and native land of Marluc Ranch.

We had a short overnight stay but will definitely come back to enjoy the landscape and ponds. Very nice place. Hosts were amazing and friendly.

We absolutely love staying at Anna’s charming cabin. Anna was attentive and proactive communication. And, the cabin really is as cute and comfortable as the pictures. The setting is peaceful and private. We were there for a wedding and quite busy but would love to come again to rest and relax.

Jack was an amazing host & his cabin was perfect for my partner, 6 month old, & I. We were in town for a wedding and this beat staying in a hotel all day long. We hope to be back one day not only for the great location & cabin but because Jacks hospitality and kindness was amazing. Thanks again for a great stay guys!

I stayed at the Inspiration cabin for a 3 day get away from the DFW area. It was me & my 16 yr old Bichon. I love that dogs are considered part of the family & always welcome here. What stood out to me was the friendliness, responsiveness, accountability and sensitivities to my individual needs by the staff/owner. I have chemical sensitivities & am allergic to strong fragrances. I asked about strong cleaners/air fresheners B4 I came & the cabin was fragrance free & perfect for anyone w/sensitivities. Very clean, I was on the floor a lot with my geriatric dog & I saw about every corner of the cabin & it was spotless! Carol & Dom manage the property & Jim is the owner. I built a friendly rapport right away with each one! I was running late to get there & was communicating frequently about my ETA (it kept changing), & they were very understanding and had someone waiting for me when I got there bc it was dark. Very kind, caring & also respectful of privacy, I will definitely be back!
