This is a great space for gatherings such as: crawfish boils, family reunions, birthdays, a romantic couple getaway or a family escape from everyday life. Come out and enjoy nature and look at the stars at the Ponderosa. Lake Sam Rayburn is 35 min., Steinhagen Reservoir is 10 min. away and Big Thicket National Game preserve is minutes away. Jill was an amazing host! She was very helpful with anything we needed. The property is just beautiful & so peaceful. Easy check in, well stocked, beautiful & very clean house. We enjoyed fishing off the pier & swimming in the lake during the day & enjoyed the fire pit area making s’mores & relaxing in the hot tub at night. We made some awesome memories. Perfect lake getaway. We will definitely be back.

What a great place to have a family vacation! The house has everything you need. The flat pad, paddle boards, and kayaks were awesome. The kids had a blast playing on the beach. The outdoor kitchen area is awesome for grilling and the cowboy pool was perfect For relaxing. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to get away. Beautiful sunrises over the lake and very quiet and peaceful. The host is fantastic and was very responsive when I had questions. I would give this 10 stars if I could. We will definitely be back!
