Vacation rentals with a patio in Ísafjörður

We were hoping to stay in Ísafjörður while visiting friends, but the Aldrei music festival was going on and the town was packed. We were happy to find this place in Flateyri, just 20 minutes away. The setting was gorgeous with snowy mountains all around! The place was quiet, with plenty of space for two people. The clothes dryer gave us trouble when trying to end the cycle early— the cooling fan ran for over 45 minutes before we could open the dryer door. Otherwise, it was a nice stay.

Charming home, perfect location for exploring local sights, very well equipped for self-catering. Comfort beds, everything worked perfectly. Special bonus to be able to watch the Secret Life of Walter Mitty in the comfortable TV lounge and then look out the window to see the filming locations.

Die Unterkunft bietet viel Platz. Aufgeteilt auf zwei Stockwerken ist der Wohnraum sehr geräumig. Die Küche ist voll ausgestattet. Im Badezimmer ist alles vorhanden - und auch ist reichlich Toilettenpapier vorhanden (liegt in den Schränken). Wir haben uns in der Unterkunft sehr wohlgefühlt. Die Vermieter - Ingi und Snorri - waren stets erreichbar. Auch Vorschläge waren uns willkommen, beispielsweise in der Nacht bevorstehendes Nordlichtschauspiel. Die Unterkunft liegt mitten, zentral in den Westfjorden. Umgeben von vielen weiteren Fjorden ist es ein atemberaubendes Schauspiel der Natur. Von Nordlichtern in der Nacht, beeindruckende Wasserfälle, im Herbst eine farbenfrohe Hügellandschaft und Schwärme von Vögeln, Seehunden, Wasservögeln, und eine Stille die einen zur Ruhe kommen lässt. Wir kommen wieder!

A lovely authentic old Icelandic house that has been renovated practically and tastefully. Great location. Wonderful to have access to a hot tub and sauna. Elín is a perfect host. We recommend the restaurant Fisherman, which is on the same street. We will come back. I have rarely slept as well as in this house.

A beautiful apartment with wonderful views of the water. Spotless and very comfortable. Focus on the environment. Lots of interesting books about Iceland. Close to amazing sites like the Latrabjarg Cliffs and Rauoasandur Beach. We had a lovely time.

Beautiful home, much better than anticipated and more modern /fresh than the pictures imply. We loved staying here! We did an early morning/ sunrise hike to the basalt lighthouse and it was phenomenal. Tip: If you want to eat at one of the restaurants, make sure to get reservations early. Places close early in Stykkisholm and there are just a few restaurants.

An excellent place to stay in Isafjordur - centrally located and great to stay for a couple of nights on a trip round the Westfjords. The bathroom was lovely (heated floors made for quick drying in the wet room!), and kitchen had everything you needed for a short stay (although note kettle, hob, etc are stored in a drawer, which had me puzzled when hunting for them initially 😂) Halldor was a fantastic host, very friendly, helpful and let us know when the northern lights started on our second night (and invited us up onto his decking to watch) - perfect! Would highly recommend 😊
