Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Iowa County

My friends and I had a wonderful stay here for a long weekend. I was even greeted with a Happy Birthday sign, balloons and a treat—so nice! The place was very clean, homey, and even bigger than the photos implied. We thoroughly enjoyed the game room and hot tub. It’s also very close to the shops and restaurants in Mineral Point, plus a short drive to Cave of the Mounds and House on the Rock (amazing). The hosts were quick to respond and very accommodating of an early check-in request and a mix-up about the pet fee. In case this happens to anyone else—the option to add pets when booking didn’t pop up for me—there’s a pet fee of $75. I definitely recommend it as a lovely place to stay!

Such a beautiful stay! The wow factor when you pull up is just the start! We had the most amazing time and made so many wonderful memories staying at this beautiful historic home. From seeing fireflies in n the evening to morning coffee on the beautiful screen porch, we had the most wonderful family adventure. The third floor was setup perfectly for our twin girls in one room and our son in the other! Town of spring green close by was a family favorite and we had some amazing dinners/lunches there. 100% recommend you try this stay. Make sure to have good bug spray and you are set! We stayed at Susan‘s home for five nights over the Christmas holidays with five adults. The home was very comfortable and a perfect place for us to gather for Christmas festivities. The kitchen was well appointed with everything you could need for baking and cooking: pots, pans, mixer, bowls, storage containers, cooking utensils… etc! My daughters were able to cook up all their favorite Christmas cookies, and making communal meals was a snap. Susan provided bird seed to fill the bird feeders, and the birds kept us and my daughter’s dog entertained through the large windows looking out over the back yard and the woods. The property has a lovely wooded walking loop of about 0.75 miles which we used when we needed to stretch our legs. It is also not far from Governor Dodge State Park, and we were able to take hike one day at the Park. The only downside we noted was that the heating system was fairly loud and ran constantly.

Our family, dogs included, really enjoyed the property. The large well-fenced yard was a game-changer for our trip and allowed us to spend hours outside playing with our dogs. The house was clean. The host was responsive and considerate, even leaving a dozen farm-fresh eggs, a block of cheese, and a bag of dog treats for us all to enjoy. We hope to stay there again in the future.

Super cute little “cottage”. The set up is just beautiful. The amazing grounds and responsiveness of Brooke and Cole were just amazing. This home was the icing on the cake to first combined family holiday

The studio was just as described, homey and neat. Our hosts were very friendly and responsive. They recommended cool places to go and even helped us when we had some car issues. Highly recommend this Airbnb!

This place was amazing! A beautiful view of the river with a wonderful outdoor fire pit, 3 season room, and gorgeous setting in the family room. We hope we can rent this place next year!

It was understood that they do live upstairs. We had no problem with the level of house noise and enjoyed a peaceful getaway. As a short woman the bed was high.. and I think Megan was going to get a step stool for those of us that dont carry the tall gene. lol We loved the space and the board games provided for us to just chill. We also had our daughter and family over to share a meal that we made on the BBQ grill. Which made a much nicer visit then a quick bite at local restaurant. We ate out at Arthur s in town and it was a cute supper club. the House on the rock was our main event and coming back to Megan s place after gave a a great relaxing place to watch a movie on the large TV and just relax. So grateful for a great place to rest and feel at home. My husband met Megan s husband who seemed very nice. I personally only had connections with Megan and she was always helpful in suggestions and answered any questions we had. Thank you both for welcoming us to your beautiful home.
