Seaside Japanese House on Scenic Shimanami Kaido

They handled it comfortably, even though it was a sudden reservation. Also, the explanation at check-in was polite. The location was right in front of the sea, and the whole family enjoyed it. There is a projector on the 2nd floor where you can enjoy movies, etc.
The exterior of a three-story villa is visible, featuring a modern facade with large windows. A gravel pathway leads to the entrance, bordered by neatly arranged stepping stones. The surrounding area includes both a residential building and a partially exposed structure.

A private island inn where you can spend a peaceful time living in harmony with nature

AlexandraRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Very kind and warm host who was responsive and greeted us graciously. A wonderful stay at a large, clean, and homey house. All the amenities were thoughtful, and the A/C and shower worked like a charm! The host even accommodated us by taking our bikes in to the garage and opening it at 6am for us to leave early to finish Shimanami Kaido. Amazing and would stay again!!

Auberge Yugashira

Olivier and family are very welcoming and kind. We loved the homemade brioche, jams and local fruit for breakfast, along with the interesting conversation. The home is actually better than in the pictures and very comfortable. We spend one night there whilst exploring the islands by bike.

B&B Shiokaze for Onomichi / Shimanami sightseeing

EdwardRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We were very warmly welcomed with a cup of Japanese green tea. It immediately felt very familiar. Breakfast was wonderful and delicious. Both Japanese and Western breakfast. The hostess was extremely thoughtful and took us to a bus stop far away so that our journey would be easier. Perfect place to start the Shimanami Kaido. We cycled from Imabari to Onomichi and this was the perfect location. Many shopping and dining options are within walking distance. We would book with Shiokaze again immediately. It was a relief to be greeted by a sweet person as opposed to a lockbox. Thank you!
A serene hallway is lined with large glass windows, inviting natural light to illuminate the wooden floors. Lush greenery is visible through the glass, creating a calming atmosphere. A cozy seating area is positioned nearby, enhancing the tranquil setting.
