Osamijima, Shimanami Kaido. A large deck with a view of the sea and the sunset. Open-air bath with a view of the sea. Seaside retreat
This accommodation is limited to one group per day and allows you to enjoy the beauty of the many islands in the Seto Inland Sea and the sunset. Designed by the host, an architect who has won numerous awards overseas. Not extraordinary, but a "delicate life" with the theme of enriching everyday life. You can experience that kind of life here. There is a separate indoor bath from the Hinoki bath, but the view of Setouchi and the starry sky from the Goemon bath, heated with firewood, is the best. If you're lucky, you'll see artificial satellites and meteors. The water heated by firewood never gets cold. It warms you from the core of your body. The bedding is specially ordered from a long-established bedding manufacturer in Kyoto, and the bath invites you to relax your body and mind and sleep soundly. Most guests say they sleep well. During the day, you might want to spend some time in the lounge filled with houseplants. Enjoy the sunlight shining through the trees from the skylight. Here, the right answer is to do nothing and just be. How about emptying your mind? If you request at least a week before your stay, we can prepare local food from Oshima Island and seasonal food that we can get through a special route. If you wish, you can also dine at a counter made of pure cedar, similar to a traditional Japanese restaurant.

Sunset Stay OMI | Shimanami Kaido, Oshima | Quiet beachfront rental | Maximum 6 people
SUNSET STAY OMI is located on the seafront of Omi, Oshijima, and is limited to one group per day. You can have a relaxing time while feeling the changing sea and sky. Dinner at the popular restaurant "Umimachi Bar Ameri", where you can enjoy local cuisine and music, is also one of the highlights of your trip. A peaceful place surrounded by mountains and the ocean. It is not only a great base for cycling and island tours, but it also has a workspace and is ideal for a relaxing stay. In the early morning, a walk while gazing out at the calm sea, surrounded by silence and birdsong, is a healing experience. About 550 meters from the accommodation, along the sea, there is the "SUNSET STAY OMI OUTDOOR LOUNGE" for guests only. Please enjoy your time in a space surrounded by the ocean, mountains, and sky. Next to the accommodation is the entrance to the approach to Himezaka Shrine, and the narrow, sloping path lined with traditional homes from the early Showa period is recommended for a stroll. The path through the tangerine orchard that leads up to the shrine offers beautiful views of the ocean and the islands. At night, the sky is full of stars, and in summer, the Milky Way sparkles. Enjoy a relaxing time with coffee or juice made from local citrus fruits while surrounded by the sound of records.

Opening Fall 2025, an old private house close to the sea
It is a 2-minute walk from Setoda Port, and you can immediately go to a place where you can see the Seto Inland Sea. There is no view from the facility, but the port and Shiomachi shopping street are close, so you can stroll around the neighborhood and enjoy the port city. The building has been designed to create a comfortable environment while making use of the characteristics of an old private house. The existing exterior walls and structures were insulated and reinforced, but restored to the time when the old house was built. Inside, we made a white box that provides a comfortable environment, and we made it the living room and bedroom. You can relax in a modern Japanese-style design space while staying in an old Japanese house. The bathroom opens to the courtyard with large windows and is full of a sense of freedom. The bathtub and bathroom heating are also equipped to create a comfortable bathroom environment, and privacy is ensured with blinds. It is small but equipped with a kitchen for simple cooking. The entrance is wide and bicycles can be brought inside. There is also a washing machine, so it can accommodate medium to long-term stays. There are also Western-style restaurants, Japanese restaurants, kappo restaurants, and bars nearby, so you can enjoy the local cuisine.

There is a craft ice cream shop on site, and a coffee and donut shop will also open in December.A sweet bite to taste after running through gently refreshes the memories of your trip. There is also a quiet beach within walking distance, where the morning sea breeze and the evening light will give you a memorable time. The convenience store is also a short walk away, and it is a few minutes' drive from Omishima IC. A traditional Japanese house hotel by the sea where the sun sets. The entire building is for rent. You can also BBQ on the deck. Walking distance to Sunset Beach.
This is an old house-style villa on Ikushima, known as the citrus island, originally used as a barn, designed by a first-class architect and renovated by a craftsman. In the morning, enjoy a refreshing time on the balcony while looking out at the calm Seto Inland Sea in the clear air. In the evening, the sunset that colors the sea, sky, and island spreads out in front of you without being blocked by the building. The charm of Ikushima's sunset is that you can enjoy a different expression every day, such as a bright red one day and a romantic pastel pink another. Why not meditate in an elegant and somewhat ephemeral space, feel the power, and spend a luxurious time? The barbecue in a relaxed atmosphere is also exceptional. Enjoy the view outside from the bathroom, and on clear nights, you can also enjoy bathing while watching the starry sky. During the day, you can relax on the fluffy sofa in the building, enjoy fishing, or hop around the island. In summer, you can also enjoy swimming at Sunset Beach. Setoda Sunset Beach also has rental bicycles, so cycling is also recommended in spring and autumn. ※ Setoda Sunset Beach is a 15-minute walk.
