Iga Ueno Castle Town Here you can experience the small (modest) life of a townhouse, and there is a 100-year-old townhouse that you can use as a base for walking around the town. 　The characteristic of old-fashioned townhouse living is "small living". The chabudai is used not only as a dining table but also as a study desk, and when folded, the tea room becomes a bed. At dusk, wrap your clothes in a furoshiki and go to the public bath with your geta. 　Rather than the number of things, it may be that the body and mind seek a life that uses effort, time, and wisdom to feel comfortable. 　When you go outside, it's fun to walk around this town where the old townscape remains. In the morning, have breakfast at a coffee shop with morning service. Stop by the gallery on the way. Talking to shop owners and regulars is also a special experience. You can rent an entire guest house in an authentic Japanese house from the Taisho period, built about 100 years ago. You can have a relaxing stay in Nara without hesitation. Right next to Nara Park, about 10 minutes on foot to Kintetsu Nara Station. It is also easy to take a quiet walk in the early morning or at dusk. Same price for up to 4 people.It can accommodate up to 9 people. The Japanese house, built in the Taisho period, is full of charm with its lattice windows, tea room, veranda, and courtyard. Please relax in the living room with a sunken kotatsu facing the courtyard. The kitchen is equipped with an IH stove, microwave, toaster, refrigerator, pots, cooking utensils, etc. Please enjoy cooking together, watching the garden, and gathering around the sunken table for a hot pot! There are two toilets and two shower rooms. There are no facilities like a hotel, but we would appreciate it if you could have a nostalgic atmosphere and a relaxing time. There are only bedrooms, a total of 3 rooms (4 rooms if you divide the large Japanese-style room). We will prepare it according to the number of people. To that end, I want many people to experience a nostalgic way of life and culture. As such a place, we renovated a row house left by our ancestors and opened it as the Daiji, a soy sauce shop that had closed. You are always welcome! I am an Artist / Photographer born in Kyoto I started hosting because I love meeting people from all over the world and making new friends. This place used to be one big guesthouse, but during Covid19, I have stopped running the guesthouse and I moved in with my wife and 2 kids. Still I didn't want to give up so I left the good parts. Private cypress bath and renovated rooms and made another entrance for the Guests. So now it is 2 separate house Please check the house rules before you book.

This guesthouse is a renovated 120-year-old traditional Japanese house located in the merchant town of Omi Hino, overlooking Mt. Watamuki in the Suzuka Mountains of Shiga Prefecture, with the concept of "nostalgic yet new." The townscape of Hino itself is somehow nostalgic and calming.
