Step into one of the oldest homes in town, dating from 1884. Curated by the owners of the design studio Reykjavík Trading Co., The Garden Cottage has been completely remodeled to provide a unique feeling, with a lot of the furniture handmade or meticulously crafted and selected from their travels to California, Scandinavia & Mexico. The land behind The Garden Cottage is home to their designed greenhouse, communal garden, chickens and their most recent addition, The Shed which is their workshop / shop where you can visit for a coffee, buy pieces or see their process of making objects. Curated by the owners & designers of Reykjavík Trading Co. (an Icelandic / California homeware company) the Garden Cottage is their first project of creating a home space for guests to experience a unique & cozy feeling while visiting Iceland. The bottom floor of the 1884 built home has been completely remodeled for guests. Everything in the home has been either made by hand by R.T.Co. or selected from their collection of preferred products & appliances. Anthony Bacigalupo & Ýr Káradóttir, the owners of The Garden Cottage, live & work in the separate upper part of the historic home & their R.T.Co. workshop is located in the back of the garden for guests to visit, learn about the pieces being crafted, or just to have a cup of coffee. We wanted to create a place for guests to experience "slow living" & create a special stay. Having designed spaces for hotels, cafes, bars we decided to put our inspiration & collection into this project & build something completely one-of-a-kind in Iceland. The home was built in 1884 & we have been remodeling & bringing back the style it once was but also bringing back the garden & farm style that was once so prominent back in the day. We believe in hospitality to the fullest which sadly doesn't exist anymore in places. Since we live on the property we can answer any questions you have or have you in for a coffee if you need help deciding your journey in Iceland. The cottage is in the oldest part of Hafnarfjörður, a small harbor town. There are great farm-to-table restaurants, bakeries, live music, artist studios and swimming pools nearby. It’s conveniently located across the road from the town’s bus terminal. The house has three stories but is broken into two flats- we live on the upper floors with our children with separate driveway and front door- but we are here for anything you need or to have a coffee in the greenhouse! Our little town can be easily walked around & explored. Shuttle stops for airport & Blue Lagoon are 3 minutes walk next to the ocean & the bus terminal into Reykjavík is close as well.

Under mountain Esja, Kjalarnes. A peaceful place.

Kirkjuland is a small farm just 10km north of Reykjavik, on Kjalarnes. Located under the beautiful mountain Esja. Peaceful and cozy.. We can host 2 persons at our facility. Fantastic view over the Reykjavik area. We are close to many beautiful places you would want to visit; like Thingvellir national park, Glymur the highest waterfall in Iceland, Húsafell , Krauma, Giljaböð natural bath places, etc. All photos of the northern lights taken in our garden! Cottage at the Beautiful Oceanside - Thursstadir

Privately own cottage farm in quiet area next to the Atlantic Ocean with great view over the mountains. Real Icelandic farm experience with animals and perfect location to see the Northern Lights during the wintertime (if conditions are optimal). The place is just outside Town of Borganes (5 km) where you can find a discount store. Interesting places nearby are Langjökull, Barnafossar, Deildartunguhver (hot spring) and Snæfellsjökull. Also short drive to Reykjavik (80 km) and Golden Circle.

Cosy cottage 2 close to Reykjavík - hot tub

The cottage is cosy and it has everything you need to make a perfect meal in the kitchen or you can use the gas grill outside the cottage. It´s close to the sea and you can see the seals play along the shore. The cottage although small is ideal for 2-4 person. There is a free WIFI and on the veranda is a private hot tub where you can soak while enjoying the view. There is no light pollution here like in Reykjavik or in towns and therefore ideal location for watching the Northern Lights.

The Lake House is part of Hvammsvik Nature Resort and Hot Springs, a gated 1200 acre estate along the coast enjoying spectacular nature and views, only 40 min away from Reykjavik. It's a magical place where you become one with nature in a rustic yet luxurious lodge with top quality furniture and art and a shared hot spring, fishing lake and close to many amazing sights like the Golden Circle, Glymur waterfall and hiking paths. On site you will find Hvammsvik Hot Springs, Bistro and Bar.

Gunnu Hús by Meðalfellsvatn ( Our lakeside cottage nestles at the foot of Medalfell mountain and the garden leads right down to the lake. The views are spectacular, of the lake and its surrounding mountain scape; it is a place of pure tranquility. It has 3 bedrooms and an open plan kitchen and sitting room. It has a large double bedroom, and small double bedroom and a room with a bunk bed. It is well known and often listed as one of the most scenic and lovely summer cottages in Iceland.

Fjósið-Hallgeirsey is the perfect place to stay to explore the south coast, located 23 km from Hvolsvöllur (restaurants and grocery store) and only 10 min drive from the main road (15km).

A two-bedroom apartment with double beds measuring 160x200. We can prepare an extra bed for the 5th guest, and a cot for a small child on request. There is also a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom where you will find the necessary cosmetics and towels, as well as a living room. It is a quiet place overlooking the ocean. 10 minutes' walk to the lighthouse. 12 minutes' drive to the airport. Great places to start or end your adventure in Iceland.

Converted Water Tower

A three floor uniquely converted modern water tower and a first purpose built Micro house in Iceland. The water tower was build in 1960 then converted to a Micro house in 2017.
