Farmstay vacation rentals in Hunter Region

Excellent weekend get away for a family. We stayed with our 2.5 year old and 3 months old and had a wonderful, peaceful family get away. Philip was super helpful and made sure we had everything required, especially for the kiddies. Scrumpy offers something for everyone: warm and peaceful nights in front of the fireplace with a glass of wine, as well as perfectly equipped kitchen for cooking; and games, activities and a wonderful garden to run for kids. We had a wonderful time and will definitely return for a winter family get away.

The house was very clean and fresh, super cozy and homely. Corinne went above and beyond to accommodate us, even down to leaving us groceries that suited our family to make breakfast and snacks. She also gave us a run down of the area and things to do and see. We will definitely aim to stay here next time we’re visiting.

We had a fantastic stay at Paul’s place. The house is beautiful! Spacious, warm, and full of charm. When we arrived, we were welcomed with the smell of freshly baked bread and there were also some fresh herbs, eggs, jam, granola, and milk. Such a thoughtful touch. The surroundings are incredibly serene, with stunning views all around. We absolutely loved it. It was peaceful, quiet, and felt like a true escape. Our dog Ziggy had the time of his life running around and exploring the property — he was in heaven. The house has everything you could possibly need. The outdoor shower under the stars is such a unique experience, and cozying up by the fire inside was a perfect way to wind down. Paul even helped us set up a fire outside on one of the days, even though it was rainy. He was so kind and made sure we were comfortable. There are lovely walks nearby, and some beautiful beaches just a short drive away. It really was a special stay, and we’d love to come back.

Barbara was a friendly and welcoming host. The cottage had everything we needed and was very close to town and wedding venues. The area was picturesque and very quiet. The breakfast supplies were appreciated and this was a very nice surprise. We would be happy to stay there again.

The cottage was a peaceful and relaxing , Annie’s little cottage has a old fashion style setting it reminded my mother of the house she grew up in with the lay out and the antique boiler in the laundry still there as part of the houses attraction. there was 7 of us who booked the house and all agreed it has a most unique quality about it . It has no dishwasher so it was old school which was great do t need modern coms when you visit little country cottages like this one … Annie also supplied us with some basic staples in the kitchen and also made a really awesome slice … overall really happy with this stay … the price is worth the peace and quiet and hope to be back one day …

I had a fantastic stay at Belinda and Bruce’s beautiful countryside farm. The house was clean, cozy, and very comfortable. Their company at the BBQ was amazing—so friendly and welcoming. A real highlight was the farm tour, where we got to see all their lovely animals up close. It was such a peaceful and enjoyable experience. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing farm stay with wonderful hosts!

Edwina and her husband were lovely hosts, and Elfin Hill is a great complexthat is well appointed and maintained. We enjoyed our visit.

My partner and I stayed in Cadair Cottage 1 and we really really enjoyed our short time here. We were only here for a couple of nights but would have loved to extend our trip. There is so much to like about this place. Firstly, the surroundings are just absolutely beautiful - you are in nature and if you’re coming from a city landscape you’ll switch off so quickly. The cottage itself was spotless and had such a homely feel. All of the amenities you’d need with a fireplace, stove top, wifi, tv with foxtel and streaming - beautiful bedrooms and comfortable linen. The hot tub is also so nice to relax in and watch the sun come down. The yard (which is fully fenced) offers an expansive play area for your furry friends and our girl Peppa absolutely loved her time here too. She had so much fun. You are visited by neighbouring sheep and cows and it’s truly magical to watch them graze and trail by. Thank you, Simone - we can’t wait to return to this beautiful property again.

It’s a fantastic stay. Beautiful Lakehouse. Great for a family of 4. Got plenty to do at the premises, sauna by the lakeside, kayaking at Cooma Bay and cooking in the beautiful kitchen with the freshly picked vegetables from the garden. Also, there are two lovely doggies, Matilda and Bella checked us in and out. Amazing host!

WOW! What a place! Elmview Cottage exceeded all expectations. The cottage itself was so beautiful, with everything you would need for a short stay. We often did not want to leave the cottage, and spent most of our time resting in the hammock and watching the peaceful scenery from the balcony. The entire property blew us away. You can spend a day walking around, feeding the horses, exploring the nearby lookout and playing with their 3 gorgeous dogs. We will miss waking up to the dogs waiting eagerly for us to play ball with them. Susanna and Jack were SO friendly and gave us so many tips for the area. The horses are so beautiful and look so cared for and well looked after. We wish we could give more than 5 stars. We will 100% be back as soon as we can!

Gorgeous property with ample room and beds to cater to our group. Hosts were always on hand for any additional questions. Property had a gorgeous fireplace which was just lovely to cosy around in the evening with a glass of wine. Looking forward to staying again!

We had a wonderful stay at Martin’s place! Martin was incredibly friendly, kind, and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Unfortunately, we were involved in an accident and suddenly found ourselves without a car. Martin went above and beyond by offering us his spare car to use — an incredibly generous gesture, even though we didn’t end up needing it. He was also very responsive and proactive in communication, always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. He even gave us food to feed the animals, which was such a thoughtful touch. The house was well-stocked with snacks, pancake mix, and all the essentials you’d need to cook at home — it really felt like a home away from home. We loved our stay and are so grateful for Martin’s hospitality. Highly recommend!!!

Really beautiful farm with plenty friendly animals! Been to many farm stays with our dogs & this is definitely the best one we’ve been too, super friendly host and so much to do on the farm! Home is very clean and tidy, host offered so much food and drink, not stingy on toilet paper and bin bags which is rare with some farm stays! We really enjoyed our stay, we will definitely be back and would recommend it to our friends for sure!

We had a beautiful long weekend at Claudine’s. She gave us so many recommendations to eat prior to even getting to Mudgee. The place was clean and had everything we needed. We also had the company of many cute Shetland ponies! Claudine was very responsive and helped us so quickly even when we locked ourselves out. Thank you for a beautiful home away from home.

I had a wonderful stay. The house is just lovely, like stepping back in time but without giving up the modern comforts like wifi. Great to have a fire place. My dogs had a great time, the dogs there are friendly and very sweet. View is gorgeous and it’s so peaceful. Would happily stay again. Thanks for having us Tim and Chontelle.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Barefoot at Broke over the long weekend. The house is beautifully decorated, comfortable and felt extremely spacious for the 5 of us, plus our family dog. Located in Broke, the property feels private and secluded, yet only a short drive away from some amazing wineries. Steve and Jen were also very responsive hosts, answering all our questions promptly and providing clear instructions for check in/ out. We would highly recommend Barefoot at Broke for a small group getaway - we had an amazing time!

Kookawood is pure magic. From the moment we arrived, Fiona made us feel right at home with thoughtful touches - clear, helpful directions and generous treats for us and our pup. The house itself is breathtaking. Every corner is lovingly curated with vintage charm, antiques, and beautiful family memories. Learning the story behind how this dream home was built only added to the experience what a powerful testament to creativity and perseverance. We’re so grateful to have stayed here. We were looking for somewhere to escape the city for the long weekend, and this property was absolutely perfect. Whilst Gloucester is only 5 minutes away, we didn’t feel the need to go there as we had everything we needed right there. The surroundings are so beautiful, and there is plenty of space to roam and enjoy the fresh air. The cows were also very welcoming. The house was lovely, and the views stunning. There was plenty of firewood, which we enjoyed both indoors and around the fire pit. All in all, a perfect escape.

Thank you Susan! My mum, sister and I had the most wonderful stay in the Hunter Valley. The cottage is private, peaceful and surrounded by beautiful vineyard landscape. Susan & her husband even let us ‘forage’ for passionfruits for our breakfast in their lovely cottage garden too. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, property was in immaculate condition. Kitchen was stocked better than any place I have stayed before with just about everything you could need - don't even have to wash your own dishes if you don't want to (just put them in the washing machine). The views from the property were great, amazing birdlife and even Wallabies/Kangaroos in paddock nearby, sensational ! Weather was pretty cold at night so it was awesome that the lounge room had a lovely wood fire 🔥, with plenty of chopped wood stacked around the property. We were at Wollombi for our son's wedding and everything went very well, staying at such a picturesque accomodation became part of amazing memories for this big event in our lives.

We loved relaxing in the morning sun on the deck, peaceful kayaking on the lake and the toasty hot tub. All the things for a perfect winter break. The house was spacious and well equipped, with plenty of spots to relax and watch the world go by.
