Historic Loblolly Lodge at Ratcliff Lake

The Loblolly Lodge was built by Frank Taylor as a gathering place for his family around 1940. Remodeled in 2018, it now boasts of all the modern conveniences for a great getaway. With 2400sf of indoor living space & a 640sf covered back porch there is plenty of space for several families. The Lodge is nestled on 11 private wooded acres adjacent to Ratcliff Lake Recreation Area in the Davy Crockett National Forest which offers fishing, swimming, picnicking, and hiking for a small entrance fee.

Private Bedroom & Bathroom

One bedroom, one bathroom space with private entrance and secured parking. The studio apartment shares a wall with the host home and has its own stair entrance with keypad door lock, foyer, spacious windowed bedroom, large closet, new mini-split remote control A/C and heat unit, TV, full bathroom with shower. A cooler is available for guest use. 1/4 mile to Main Street, stores, restaurants. Note the property has another Airbnb unit adjacent, a converted shipping container with 2 beds, bathroom.

Mamaw's House in the woods! 3/2 with fireplace.

Staying here is like a visiting your Mamaw's house. It's simple, old fashioned decor is family friendly. The big front porch is a perfect place to sit with your coffee and watch the birds and butterflies, which are plentiful. Located adjacent to the Davy Crockett National Forest, we also have many deer and other critters in the woods behind the house. There are no visible neighbors, access is by a dirt road. Star gazing here is amazing! It's also only 30 minutes to either Crockett or Lufkin.

Located in the quaint town of Groveton, you’ll feel like you’re stepping back in time. “Mammie’s House” makes you feel like you’ve just gone to a visit at your Grandma’s. Here, there’s wide open space to relax and enjoy the quiet country. Step outside and see the stars at night or have a bonfire. This 2 bedroom home is all yours equipped with all the necessities. The main bedroom is furnished with a queen bed. The second bedroom has two twin beds with plenty of storage space throughout.

20 acres of relaxation in the piney woods of East Texas. Easily accessible from all directions. This is not a place to exert a lot of energy unless you'd like to visit my firewood splitting department. (I may knock a few dollars off the price if you do!) Owners house is next door, Grill, smoker, fire pit, and additional outdoor shower. Pond is stocked with perch. Beautiful walking trails. Golf cart is onsite but availability may be limited. Rates are based on occupancy of 2 guests, and each additional guest is $10. The home is completely furnished, and includes all you need for a comfortable stay! If you are visiting friends and family, in the area for local attractions, or just passing through, you will feel at home here.
