Don’s beautiful VanHoevenberg Ridge has become our home base in the ADK, and a “home away from home” where we return several times a year to relax and enjoy the beauty of the mountains and lakes in all seasons. This is by far the best place we have stayed since we have been coming to the ADK for over 30 years. If you are lucky enough to stay here, you’ll be back! Don’s place has everything you’ll need, and is near to everywhere you’ll want to go. The views of the High Peaks are stellar, and the hot tub is relaxing after an active day outdoors. Don is a welcoming host who truly cares that his guests have the best experience, whether avid hikers or simply wanderers seeking serenity and renewal in the woods and waters near his home. He respects your privacy, but is happy to provide his knowledge of the area to find the best hike or paddle for you. This place is our North Star in the ADK: bright, constant, and a place we’ll always look to return to. We recommend it highly to everyone!

We had a wonderful stay. We’re a group of 4 mostly retired couples. Linda’s place was perfect for our needs. We used 4 bedrooms each with its own bathroom, comfortable communal space, a dining room that accommodated all of us, and a great kitchen with lots of counter space, utensils, serving dishes, etc. The main bedroom upstairs also had an adjoining suite perfect for families with young children. Linda’s instructions were clear and she was very responsive to all messages. Linda had towels for the hot tub which we loved using after a day of outdoor activity. We highly recommend Linda’s place and look forward to returning next year.

AMAZING!!! If you are looking for a house to stay at with multiple people in Lake Placid then this is the place to stay!!! Plenty of bed rooms and multiple living rooms! Everything was clean and inside was beautiful. Short walk to Main Street so that was convenient. Also, the kitchen was wonderful and was great to cook in. Very well equipped! The hosts were awesome, left clear instructions on check in and clean up. Responded right away and were super nice!! We were all very happy with our stay (:

Linda's place was amazing with great amenities and is good for large groups. We had an amazing time and felt right at home in this house. There were grocery stores with plenty of things and the town was easily walkable from the Airbnb. Highly recommend!

The Chalet was just perfect. Listing perfectly described what you were getting with this little piece of paradise! The Sauna was easily workable. The hot tub was clean and ready to go. The whole house was immaculate and roomy yet cozy. Perfect distance to the MANY MANY WATERFALLS the boyfriend and I were chasing. Skiing at Whiteface will be happening in the future, and hopefully using Judi's gorgeous Chalet to ease my weary bones once again in the future. We stayed at the Deer Walk Cabin overlooking Lake Flower for our anniversary. While the road between the cabin and the lake brought a bit of traffic noise, the cozy and well-decorated space more than made up for it—especially on a rainy day! Much better than being in a tent, that’s for sure. We really enjoyed exploring the local cafés, with the nearby Blue Moon Café being a standout—charming atmosphere and delicious breakfast options. The cabin itself was clean and thoughtfully decorated with Adirondack-style touches that added to the charm. A great little getaway spot.

Absolutely beautiful home! The decor was stunning, and every detail was thoughtfully designed. The space was super clean, cozy, and felt like a perfect retreat. Mary was great, and everything went smoothly. Would highly recommend.

Our stay at "The Nest" was just perfect for my husband and I. We wanted a peaceful retreat that we could just relax. Though it was Spring Break in the area so very quiet. Kevin provided us with great recommendations. It was a pleasure to meet Kevin & his 2 dogs, Chloe & Cooper. We did not take advantage of the hot tub, but Kevin did offer the option to us. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

What a comfortable place to stay. We chose to eat in rather than go out, we were so comfortable. It’s a bonus to have a washer/dryer in the Adirondacks! Kitchen is very well stocked with pots and pans and glassware, etc.
