Vacation rentals in Hillister

Great place to stay especially if you’re planning on going out to the lake. The garage surprised us with the size, we were able to fit a car and boat inside.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin, which was clean, comfortable and exactly as pictured. With wooded areas on both sides and the lake behind, it felt very private and immersed in nature. It was fascinating to sit by the lake or watch the changing scene through the glass doors, with cardinals and other birds at the feeders, squirrels running around, and the movement of the water or trees in the breeze. Next time we’d bring binoculars to get a closer look at the different breeds of ducks swimming by. There is no shower and the deep soaking tub would have been difficult to use at our age, so we just managed without it for our short stay. Everything else was provided for a relaxing getaway and Robert was always quick to respond to any questions we had. Thank you, Robert!

The house was perfect the only thing we needed and didn't have was washclothes and bodywash or bath soap. The weekend was perfect and the flowers were amazing and I hope you don't mind but I filled up your hummingbird feeder they were at your house😀

Family goes to a different lake every year for New Years. This one doesn’t disappoint as they provide plenty for group to do as far as games and out door space. They also are very well stocked! While we visit in the winter, I imagine this would be a great summer place as well.

Alina was fantastic and extremely patient, we had some things come up on the day of check in and she was super understanding and kind. She stayed later than necessary to make sure we were well set up with a smile on her face. She genuinely enjoys what she does and it shows in the details of care.

We had an amazing time with family over the Thanksgiving holiday. The house was spacious and had tons of extras and fun things to do. We never got bored. We prepared a full Thanksgiving meal in the kitchen, which was large and stocked with everything we needed and more. There were plenty of toys, games, and scooters for the little ones. They enjoyed a boat ride and rode their bikes around the circular neighborhood road. We even met some neighbors who invited our boys to jump on their trampoline and loaned us a cup of sugar. The area is quiet and safe. Inside the property, once the driveway gate is closed, we had total privacy and lots and lots of space to run around. The kids loved taking scraps to the chickens and collecting eggs for breakfast. The adults loved the spectacular view and that the kids were always occupied. We had kids ranging from 9 months to 7 years old. Alise is the definition of a super host. She always responded quickly, kindly, and had great advice.

Great location. Host is highly responsive and very flexible. Had good recommendations for restaurants and check in us during the stay and made sure everything went well during the trip.

You'd be hard pressed to find a friendlier host than Jim, who clearly wants the best for his guests. That's very apparent by the care taken to keep the property so beautiful. While enjoying morning coffee, we watched a Bald Eagle soar in from the lake like a fighter jet and perch itself on a pine tree for about a half hour. It was extremely vocal and had the other birds in the area on high alert. Not something we see every day in our neck of the woods. We are already planning to return with the family. The home was very spacious, clean and well kept. There was not anything that we needed during our stay that wasn't provided or available. Wish we could have stayed longer. Thanks again, Jim! Great cabin for a weekend getaway. Communication was quick and easy. We will definitely be staying again.
