Family-friendly vacation rentals in Highland Lake

Our stay at 1800BC (The Bear Cabin @ Moose Lodge) was awesome!!! We are a family of four with a dog that loves to travel New England for family adventures. The Bear Cabin met all of our expectations and we had a beautiful time skiing at Bretton Woods. This was a special cabin with beautiful woodwork, an awesome wood stove, plenty of space and a superb location. Just a short drive to Bretton Woods (2mns) and close to several to several restaurants on Rt 302 as well. There is Bretton Woods Market and Deli just down the road that can meet most needs as well. If you are a skiing family and want a peaceful yet close proximity to a cool mountain...The Bear Cabin is for you.

Perfect stay for 4 adults, 1 infant, and 1 dog! Love the two-bedroom, two-bathroom layout, plus the kitchenette to make oatmeal and toast in the morning before hitting the ski trails. Clear check-in instructions, no hassle at all even when we arrived around midnight.

The house was beautiful. The walk down to the dock was also wonderful, the lake is beautiful. We really enjoyed the hot tub as well!

We spent a lovely few days at this property enjoying the winter weather at its finest. The house is close to everything but still felt private and cozy. A great choice for families!

I was happy to return to stay at Deb's, this time around in the studio loft. It was very spacious and comfortable and included anything that you might want or need. It was a perfect spot for me to rest while watching ski races at Black Mountain for the weekend. Thanks for being a wonderful host once again, Deb!

This beautiful venue was worth every penny. Chris greeted us and made us feel right at home, even pointing out opportunities for viewing local wildlife! Our party of 10 (ages ranging from 14 to 74) never felt crowded, a floor for every family! The kids even played "hide & seek" in the house. We made memories that will last a lifetime. Try as we may, we can't think of one thing we would have changed about our stay. Thank you Chris, Jason and family for sharing this beautiful home!

House was as listed, great location in a beautiful area. Plenty of amenities and host was helpful and responsive leading up to and during my stay.

The cabin was beautiful and spacious. Definitely can see all the updates and renovations that have been made. Rustic but with all the modern comforts. We were only there a couple of days but fit in an outdoor fire pit and hot tub! Wish we had a few more days off to enjoy more- but we made the most of it. I take any family time i can get! Thank you!

We had a great weekend with a blended family of young adults! There was hiking and visiting family also visiting while there! Great space and location!

This was one of the most memorable trips. We stayed with our pup who got to enjoy their wide open field and play with their dog Bo. The treehouse was everything I could have wanted, from an amazing camp stove to the outdoor kitchen, and cozy window seating. Mornings with coffee on the screened in porch were peaceful and tranquil. We spent our afternoons out exploring Conway and all that it has to offer. Christie and Richie have thought of everything, you can tell how much love and thought they put into this place. We can’t wait to come back in the fall or winter.

Our stay at Zen Den was wonderful, even better than we expected. We were greeted by the owners after the easy self check in. They were very friendly and helpful. The space was very clean and comfortable. We felt like we had the whole forest to ourselves! The pond was beautiful and we enjoyed taking the canoe out for a peaceful ride one afternoon. We relaxed by the fire at night and enjoyed the peaceful sound of birds and peepers. The outdoor shower was also a nice touch and easy to use. The proximity to activities was excellent. We hiked Bradbury mountain, shopped and dined in Freeport several times, enjoyed a cidery and swimming at local state park. Overall a wonderful experience, we will definitely be coming back!

Great location for our parents weekend at our daughter's school close by. Our stay was perfect. We wanted for nothing. Host was friendly and communicated well. The property was well maintained, quiet, and private. We definitely want to stay again soon. Very thankful for Barry for sharing and trusting us with his beautiful property.

We loved staying in this cozy, comfortable cabin. It was clean and had a relaxing atmosphere. We would definitely come back!

Let me talk for a moment about this gem... this cabin is immaculately kept! It is really private with its own sandy beach. It's road is a dead end and there is very little traffic. The views are spectacular! The lake is quiet. Perfect for kayaking and canoeing. Bethel is nearby. The hiking trails are gorgeous! Holly is very responsive and accommodating. The cabin has a propane stove which heats the whole cabin in minutes! The loons , eagles and hummingbirds are magnificent to watch! The bed is comfotable. The kitchen is STOCKED with all the essentials to prepare any type of meal. The grill is pristine! There is plenty of seating inside and out! The firepit is gorgeous! We had a fabulous time!

My family enjoyed an amazing stay at Heather‘s place over the Memorial Day weekend. Plenty of kayaking and paddle boarding, nightly fires and grilling! The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking meals. The shower has great water pressure! We visited several local family hikes and would not hesitate to stay again.

We loved our stay at Anne’s place! It’s a beautiful neighborhood close to the water. Our kiddos were able to walk down at low tide to play in the sand and catch crabs. The market next door was so convenient for quick but delicious meals after a long day.

We really enjoyed our stay at Lisa’s house in our white mountains foliage trip. Very quiet and stunning views of the mountains in color right in the living room. Secluded location but very short drive to Jackson and Conway. We would be happy to return again. Highly recommended!

Great place to stay with an awesome view of white heat!

Great location and lots of amenities to keep everyone busy! Condo was clean, spacious and comfortable. There was clear communication and we'll definitely be staying again when we come back to the area!

We had a lovely stay at the condo. It was the most comfy place to get snowed in. We received about a foot of snow the night we checked in and Seasons was very helpful to continually plow and shovel walkways. We explored the property and had fun sledding down hills with our tube. The condo is very clean and comfortable and has everything you may need. It was still decorated for the holidays which was a nice touch as well. The electric fireplaces worked great and were so pretty to look at. All of the furniture was very cozy and comfortable. The carpet throughout is great on cold days. We highly recommend a sleigh ride at Nestlenook farm if staying in the winter. Living Shores Aquarium is down the block and a great place to visit with kids. Diana’s Baths is a short drive away and beautiful to explore in the snow. Our daughter loved seeing the frozen waterfall. There are lots of restaurants nearby. We can’t wait to come back and see it during the summer months.

Michael was fantastic with responding quickly, this home was beautiful & is a great location if you're looking to visit the white mountains! my friends & I had a great stay, we would definitely book again!

We had a wonderful stay here! We were up for a weekend to enjoy the snow and mountains and appreciated how close it was to everything we planned. We had a snow storm the second night and the grounds maintenance was perfect, we had no problem walking right out the door. We would recommend heading for a stay!
