The kitchen area is shared with Hotos.The rest of the property is for your exclusive use, and you can enjoy your time as freely as if you were renting the entire property. A spacious 230 ㎡ space can accommodate up to 8 people.Perfect for family or group trips.There is also good access to popular cherry blossom viewing spots, such as Mt. Mt. Yoshino, and to the World Heritage Site, Konpōzanji Temple. Nishimura Residence is a traditional Nara machiya (townhouse) over 110 years old.I renovated “Grandma’s place,” where I spent a long period of my childhood, and opened it as an inn in 2019.Since the Nara machiya has been preserved in its original state, there are many inconveniences, and it is not a luxurious hotel where everything is provided. 　On the other hand, I think it’s the perfect place to soak up the “cozy, rustic” atmosphere that permeates Naramachi.In the hope of helping guests “reflect and rejuvenate” in an environment away from the hustle and bustle of the station, we provide books in the room and a vegetarian-style breakfast.(Almost all of the books in the room are available for purchase.) 　Please spend this evening in the tranquility of the Nishimura residence and Nara-cho, listening to the voice of your own heart.

A newly renovated machiya town house with typical layout and a small garden, retaining the tradition of Naramachi - the old merchant town of Nara. Easy access via bus and train, supermarket, restaurants, convenience store, bakery, and a Japanese bath house just minutes away. This house belonged to a famous wood carver of "ittobori" - a traditional Nara technique of carving the wood. A projector and a record player will make your stay even more pleasant. Enjoy!
