Vacation rentals with lake access in Hidalgo County

We rented Horacio’s Place as our “get ready with me” spot before my wedding day, and it was absolutely perfect. The space was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had such a peaceful, welcoming vibe. Horacio went above and beyond—he stocked the place with extra supplies we didn’t even know we’d need, which made a huge difference during such a busy morning. Communication was easy and responsive the entire time. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a clean, cozy, and thoughtfully prepared Airbnb!

We loved the house. Right on the golf course was great. Concierge was great and very responsive to our needs. Shout out to Delphino. If and when we are back in Pharr, we will definitely see if this home is available. We love the Plantation.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. The pictures on AirBnB of the grounds and lake looked too good to be true. It was even better than that! It's your own personal wildlife refuge. I came to south Texas for all of the famous birding national refuges, state parks, etc. (which really were amazing!) Yet, I found myself wanting to get back early each night to The Birdhouse on the Rio just to see what I could find. An amazing cast of characters live there and many other guest stars come for a visit! Even if you're not a birder and just enjoy nature, there are more peaceful places to sit outside at The Birdhouse than the inside of most homes. If that's not enough, the house is just about perfect and the owners are so welcoming and thoughtful. That was the best rental at which I've stayed. A huge thank you to the owners for doing their part in providing a natural habitat for all of our feathered and furry friends... and sharing it with us.

The place is beautiful! So peaceful and relaxing. It is a great getaway. The place is new, extremely clean, and just like the pictures illustrate it. The host is very helpful and responsive, very easy to work with. I highly recommend staying here.

Right in the center of everything! Endless places to eat! The surrounding community was very friendly and the have lots of activities! Be careful pulling out the traffic is crazy but overall a great place!
