A lovely place to stay with horses and fruit trees about although set very close to the New World (across the road) and town just a quick drive down the road. House was very clean and felt very cosy would recommend if staying in Opotiki.

Rotokautuku Cottage, Ruatoria

Cute little cottage nicely redone on the inside. A little hard to get inside, the door, needed a good push. Great shower and everything we needed. Mahanga met us in Gisborne and suggested places to see. The church in Tikitiki was definitely worth it. Unfortunately the weather didn’t help and we didn’t see Hikurangi
The exterior of a coastal bach is displayed, featuring white walls and a sloped roof. A grassy lawn surrounds the home, with trees in the background. A bicycle is resting against the side of the house, and large windows invite natural light into the living space.

Cosy cabin at Waihau Bay

We had booked this cosy cottage for a week over Easter. Unfortunately we came up to go fishing and due to weather we shortened our stay. Location was perfect and the cottage had all the amenities. We will definitely be back Jan- thanks for everything- we will come back up when the weather warms up.
A two-story house is shown with a blue sky overhead. The structure features a large deck with railing. A driveway leads towards the house, with a boat parked beside the grassy area. The property is surrounded by greenery and fencing, highlighting the outdoor space.

Reel Haven

Can't fault anything, exactly what we were expecting. Initially we thought getting four boats in was going to be an issue, but if you can reverse park a boat, there was ample space even enough to clean around each boat.
A small campfire burns brightly on a sandy beach, surrounded by scattered driftwood. In the background, a figure stands near the water's edge, facing a tranquil landscape of mountains and a cloudy sky.

Good base from which to explore the beutiful area. Reminds you of how little you need to be comfortable. Great to be off the 'net.
A wooden deck features a large picnic table surrounded by various potted plants. Large windows offer views of the outside, and a sign reading 'Hideaway' is displayed on the exterior wall. The sky is partly cloudy, creating a bright atmosphere.

Roka was a great host, checking in on us before, during and after our stay. We arrived to a warm home. It was clean, comfortable and relaxing. I highly recommend staying with Roka. It was the weekend I didn't know I needed. Thank you, Roka
