The Airbnb Privacy Policy describes how Airbnb, Inc. and its affiliates process personal information in relation to your use of the Airbnb platform. This Privacy Policy Supplement for Airbnb Creators describes how Airbnb processes information when you express interest or choose to participate in the Airbnb Creators Program (the “Program”).

1. APPLICATION. 

This supplemental privacy policy (“Supplement”) supplements our Privacy Policy. It applies to additional personal information processing carried out by us if you choose to participate in the Program.

2. WHO CONTROLS MY PERSONAL INFORMATION.

2.1 Controller. 

Where this Supplement mentions “Airbnb,” “we,” “us,” or “our,” it refers to the Airbnb company or companies that are responsible for your personal information, depending on your country of residence. The Airbnb company or companies described in Schedule 1 are responsible for the processing of your information in connection with the Program.

3. INFORMATION WE COLLECT. 

If you choose to participate in the Program, we may collect the following personal information:

3.1 Required Information. 

We may require that you provide certain personal information about you. Without it, we may not be able to enable your request. This information includes:

3.1.1 Social Media Information. 

We may ask you to identify your social media or online profiles and provide a connection to them, as relevant to your participation in the Program, and describe your current social media presence.

3.1.2 Survey Information. 

We may ask you to complete outreach and onboarding surveys, including information about your interests, relevant experience, and your general location. This may include race and ethnicity, if you choose to provide it and where consistent with applicable law.

3.2 Information We Collect From Third Parties. 

3.2.1 Publicly Available Information. 

Consistent with applicable law, we may collect personal information from third parties and publicly available sources as described in How We Use Information We Collect. Such third-party and publicly available sources may include, but are not limited to, your personal or business website and social media profile.

3.2.2 Information From Agencies. 

We may collect information about your social media profile and presence from third-party agencies who have engaged with you on Airbnb’s behalf.

4. HOW WE USE INFORMATION WE COLLECT. 

We use personal information as outlined in this Supplement, and as described in our Privacy Policy, to:

4.1 Enable the Program. 

We may process this information to enable you to participate in the Program, including to issue payouts.

4.2 Improve and Develop the Program. 

We may process this information to:

• perform analytics, debug, and conduct research,
• improve and develop the Program, and
• provide customer service training.

4.3 Verify Information Provided by You. 

Consistent with applicable law, we may process this information to verify or authenticate information provided by you.

5. LEGAL BASES. 

In certain jurisdictions, we are required to provide you with legal bases used to process your personal information.

6. YOUR RIGHTS.

6.1 Applicable Rights.

6.2 Lodging Complaints. 

You have the right to lodge complaints about our data processing activities by filing a complaint with our DPO, who can be reached here, or with your local supervisory authority.

7. OPERATING GLOBALLY AND INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS. 

We have established the necessary means to ensure an adequate level of data protection for any information transferred outside the EU and Brazil.
