The apartment is situated just 6 minutes drive from the airport and 15- 20 minutes form the Blue Lagoon. You can find a public swimming pool with both outdoor and indoor swimming pools in 3 minutes walk from us, there is also a big playground area.There is a small shoppingcenter, Krossmói in about 8 minutes walking distance. There you can find ATM, bank, supermarket, pharmacy, resturants and other shops. There is also the town bus center (it is outside and there are no servicekiosk).

Originally built in the 1920's it's one of the oldest houses in the town but recently it has gone through a major renovation and is now in great condition. The house is positioned just off the main road and is in walking distance from most activities and restaurants in the town. With a view over the Breiðarfjörður to north and the historic Fisherman garden to south you won't be disappointed with the view

I have made a big effort to make it as homey as possible and equipped it with most necessities and really comfortable beds. The house is located on the edge of Arnarstapi village, closely surrounded by the ocean, vast lava fields, mountains and the majestic Snæfellsjökull. Every season there has it´s own charm but the beauty and peacefulness is always present, pulling you out for various activities.

it is 4 bedrooms in an apartment. the one includes 2 separate beds. the apartment is very comfortable and is very well equipped. 2 wc, a shower, a living room with tv, kitchen available, tea, coffee, sugar, salt, the essentials. ocean view and a magnificent waterfall 5 minutes walk away. perfect

Contemporary Farmhouse With Amazing Views

We feel so fortunate to have spent 2 glorious nights at Halldor’s house with our 2 college-aged sons. The house design is exquisite: a perfect blend of simplicity, style, and sophistication but lacking in pretension. The house is designed with windows and glass doors looking out over the property. In every direction there are rolling fields and river views. We loved dunking in the river and racing up to the sauna. We also loved the outdoor shower. We lit a fire each night and cooked meals in the wonderful kitchen. The only downside to the house is that you never want to leave it! But we did enjoy going into town. The Settlement museum offered a very good intro to Iceland history. This was a perfect place for us to stay on our way to the West Fjords. I truly hope we come back and stay much longer next time. Thank you, Halldor, for creating such a beautiful home.

The views are great! We stayed for 2 nights, it's self check-in thus very convenient. The house has everything you need and we could go for walks and drive around the peninsula. The kitchen got very crowded in the morning though I have to admit. And the AirBnB was not fully booked. Just keep that in mind.

Excellent stay. Check-in instructions were clear and easy. Sigríður was incredibly responsive, provided excellent recommendations, and graciously opened up her space and home to us. It was located in the perfect place on the peninsula, providing us with an excellent homebase to explore with sights no more than 35min away. Olafsvik is beautiful, quiet, coastal town. We were able to walk to Bæjarfoss from the house, which was 10 mins away and walked into town to Sker restaurant and the little supermarket. The apartment was exactly as described and cozy, perfect for 2 nights. Access to fridge, microwave, coffee and tea, laundry. Bathroom and bedroom were spacious and comfy! Sigríður was excellent in helping us recover my partner’s forgotten wallet and coordinated so wonderfully with the people she knew in the small town. We will forever be grateful to her and hope to stay here again in the future!
