This newly renovated house is located in between Chubu airport and the Nagoya area. The closest station is Obu station and it only takes seven minutes to get there on foot. You have an an easy access to Nagoya city, IKEA, Nagashima Spa land, LEGO land, and so much more! Also it is approximately 45 minutes away from the Nagoya Centrair Airport if you take the highway. There is one parking spot provided. *IMPORTANT* If your nationality is not Japanese, you must bring your Zairyu card or Passport.

A traditional Japanese-style house from the late Edo period. Fully renovated in 2019. This area is famous for its ceramic production, and old kilns are around. The location is 5 min walk to Tokoname station (two stops from the airport). A convenience store is few steps away, and, within walking distance, there are supermarket, pharmacy, laundry, etc. Good access to a duty-free shopping mall and a public spa & bath by train or bus. Easy to access to Nagoya(40 min), Kyoto(1.5h) and Osaka(2h).

ここは今も人々の生活が根付いた、落ち着いた城下町。風情を感じて、昔の広々とした静かな古民家のお部屋で、忙しい日常を忘れましょう。 2023年5月公開の映画『銀河鉄道の父』のロケ地です。萬勝商店もその映画に出ています。「役所広司さん」の古本屋のシーンはこの宿で撮りました。岩村城址へは歩いても車でも行けます。ぜひ足を運んで、ここでどんな戦いがあったのか思いを馳せてみてください。他の観光地のようにたくさんの観光客がいないので、城下町の生活を独り占めできます。岩村ファンが継続して来てくださいます。午後４時を過ぎるとしーんとした静けさに驚くことでしょう。夜の本通りを歩くと、ぼんぼりのような行灯が並び、とても幻想的です。「夏至」の日に、夕日が通りの先にまっすぐ落ちていき、とても美しい風景を見ることができます。（天候にもよりますが、毎年６月の半ばの前後１週間程、18時半くらい）この建物内では、レトロ着物レンタルと着付けも運営しております。着物を着たい方はぜひご予約くださいね。宿泊のお客様は、割引料金になります。建物の奥に、裏庭や蔵もあり、忍者気分にもなれるかも(^-^)

Tranquil Mountain Getaway | Breathtaking Scenery

We had an unreal time staying here! Genuinely couldn’t recommend it more if you’re thinking of booking. Anju and her family were lovely, super helpful with loads of suggestions for things to do and even held onto our bags the whole next day for us so that we could go out on a hike without lugging them around! They also run a lovely little cafe just across from the train station, perfect for grabbing a coffee or bite before heading off for a hike or whatever you’re up to (and you get a free coffee if you’re staying in the Airbnb, which is a nice touch) They’re doing a brilliant job with the place, the vibe in the cafe is deadly and the accommodation itself is massive! There were only three of us but the place could easily fit more, and the kitchen’s fully kitted out if you want to cook. The local shop also has a really good range of items, the fresh meats are great!

I had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb! The space was clean, cozy, and felt just like home. Chie was an outstanding host. Her attention to detail and providing much more than your average Airbnb was impressive. Upon arrival, we made the mistake of having no water in the humid heat, but she provided us with water bottles; which saved us until we had the ability to go to the nearby grocery store. She also left personal touches, such as a heartfelt note and little gifts. It made us feel like we were personally welcomed by someone who genuinely cared for us. I would never hesitate to stay in her home, time and time again. She also kindly dropped us off at the local station as we headed out to our next destination. Thank you so much Chie. For going above and beyond! It is much appreciated 🫶🏼

Katsuhiko est un hôte merveilleux. Je lui suis très reconnaissante d’avoir pu partager pendant 1 semaine un peu de sa vie quotidienne, et notamment cette joyeuse petite fête avec ses amis et la prière avec le prêtre bouddhiste. Katsuhiko a une profonde connaissance historique de sa région dont il parle avec humour et cultive lui-même d’excellentes pommes de terre servies au petit-déjeuner qu’il prépare soigneusement avant toutes ses activités extérieures. J’a apprécié le confort de sa jolie maison, le calme de son quartier proche des gares d’Unuma et de Shin Unuma ( reliées par une passerelle) qui sont pratiques pour se rendre à Gifu et à Nagoya. Si vous allez à Nagoya, Katsuhiko vous recommandera de visiter le Honmura Goten qui est une merveille. Pour ma part, je recommande fortement à tout voyageur la maison accueillante de Katsuhiko !
