Coast through Garden Lots, where the ‘Foreign Protestants’ grew their vegetables, cross The Commons, land given by Queen Victoria and still held in common, over the bridge and you’re on Heckman’s Island. Follow the road until it turns to gravel, up the hill and we’re the red roof on the left. Ascend the steps to The Loft, pour yourself a drink and watch the sunset.
