Mountain/River View * Hot Tub * King

CassandraRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The first 10 minutes of our stay was just us walking around the house going “are you kidding me” between the view, the personal touches (down to the quirky cabinet handles!!), the record player/collection, having stuff for smores readily available for the fire pit, and the sunroom where my husband had to drag me out of the morning we left. The hosts were very responsive and friendly, we would definitely stay here again!

Trofton Solace - River View

WesleyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This was a beautiful and peaceful place to stay. Gorgeous view overlooking the river! The place was well decorated and we loved listening to the rain on the skylights in the living room. The neighbors were a little closer than expected, but wasn’t really an issue. Power went out one night (area outage), and Alison was responsive and proactive to provide a location of various lamps and lights. We were already using the grill on the incredibly back deck, so we weren’t really inconvenienced by it. I do appreciate the host keeping us updated on power outage.
The cabin is nestled among tall trees, showcasing a wooden exterior with a blue metal roof. Surrounding greenery adds a natural touch, while a gravel path leads to the entrance, enhancing the cabin's secluded appearance in a tranquil wooded setting.

Cabin was lovely and exactly how it was described. We went for a 3 day getaway weekend and we had such a relaxing, quiet time. When we arrived it was pouring and it was hard to see the entrance since it’s also a little hidden but when we eventually found it, it was easy to find the cabin. Every room was spotless clean and kitchen was fully stocked with what you would need while being on “vacation”. Corey, the host, was super attentive and responsive to all our requests. We would come back again!

Seclusion-Escape to this Cozy Getaway in the Woods

The seclusion was absolutely peaceful and beautiful—just what we needed to relax and recharge. The fenced-in yard was perfect for my puppies; they were so happy running around safely and freely. It truly felt like a little slice of paradise for both me, my wife, and my pups. it was very stocked with literally everything. I will definitely be booking again!

EagleRockCozyCabin hot tub/private/outdoor firepit

JordanRating, 5 stars1 month ago
A great cabin for a weekend getaway. We really appreciated all of Sabita’s recommendations for local wineries and trails. Photos and description matched the home very well. One thing to note, the cabin is off of a main road, and at times we felt like the road noise was pretty noticeable, not a huge deal, just not super tucked away/private. We would definitely stay in the future and highly recommend.

Crane's Nest

Super cute place just enough out of the way that you feel like you’ve escaped, but close enough to stores and conveniences in case you forgot to pack something. We enjoyed the fire pit and swing set most. Was able to let the pup off the leash, and I know he appreciated that. The hosts were extremely inviting and helpful. Would definitely stay here again

Cozy Log Cabin on Lake w/ Mountain Views

FredrickRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Our week in Wardensville was amazing. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate our first wedding anniversary; the views are gorgeous, we loved the cool mountain mornings and evenings, we felt very welcome and safe in the area, we got the chance to unwind and relax in the cabin with a slower pace of life, and Forrest was such a wonderful host- he was communicative and prompt and gave the perfect suggestions to compliment our stay. And when we hit a snag, he made it right, which is the highest mark for a host I think. We can’t wait to spend our 2nd anniversary at the Cabin next summer!!!

Charming Cabin in Fern Field, Lake 2 mi, Fishing

EliRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Julia's cozy cottage offered a lovely respite for our family. It was well-decorated, in a beautiful, peaceful forest, nestled in ferns. The wooded road made for wonderful walks with our dogs. The cottage was extraordinarily well appointed, with the kind of thoughtful touches I didn't even realize I wanted! The screen porch was a wonderful extra space to let us enjoy the woods, even during a heavy rainstorm. Would definitely return!

The Blue Cabin at Warden Lake

JoettaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
A beautiful cabin nestled in the woods. It was the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of work, electronics and life. Here lies a retreat with books, puzzles, games, even coloring books for some artistic therapy if you choose to do so. The enclosed sun room with the comfortable seating as well as the outside deck made this the perfect getaway in nature. The attention to detail was appreciated in regards to the decor and the feel goods from the linens to the cleanliness of the cabin. You are close enough to explore things if you choose, or stay close to the cabin and cast a line. Jim sent messages in advance and was very responsive to messages sent. Definitely will be back to this hideaway in the woods.

Canal Cabin (#1) Bunks. Close to Canal.

JuliaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Andrew’s canal cabins were exactly what we expected after our day of riding the C&O trail. The cabins were only about 1/2 mile off the trail and we had no problem finding them and check-in was a breeze. We were able to walk over to the local tavern for some beer and wings. Coffee in the morning, then back out on our ride. These cabins were perfect for what we needed!

The Hideaway Lakeside Cabin: WiFi + Lake Access

Patryk PawelRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This place is better than cabins at Auberge Resorts. We spent a weeeknd here and the place is absolutely amazing. There is no cheap tat here, everything is of the best quality. The cabin is spotlessly clean and super comfortable. Everything is in excellent working order, no nasty surprises. It is perfectly stocked, anyting you may need during a stay is there. Communication is excellent and there is nothing to worry about. Perfect place to relax and unwind. The onlt sad thing is that from now on all other AirBnB's will seem very imperfect as the bar is set so high now. Cannot wait to stay here again.

The Philosopher’s Retreat

Angelina MariaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This rustic cabin is the ideal getaway. It is tucked deep in the West Virginia woods, it’s peaceful, beautifully designed and full of character. The king bed is incredibly comfy, the loft adds so much charm, and the curated library and outdoor fire pit make unwinding easy. Also, the private trail with art installations was such a delightful surprise. The host was really wonderful and very responsive — plus, they also designed Mack’s Bingo Kitchen in town, which has some of the best food we’ve had in a while! An inspiring and relaxing retreat. We’re already dreaming of our next visit!

Ridgetop Retreat

ChetanRating, 5 stars2 months ago
A lovely cabin adjoining a forest, with a lot of character and old-world charm. Our hosts, Katherine and Gabriel, were very responsive and considerate. They had a nice selection of magazines at the cabin telling us more about the state, like the incredible works of Taylor and Reinhard. Driving to this cabin in West Virginia, we were reminded of the iconic John Denver song, "Take Me Home, Country Roads", which we played repeatedly!

We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend. The house was very cozy and nicely decorated. It was extremely clean and had everything we needed. Kelsey provided very clear instructions and a thorough list of things to do, places to eat, and where to shop. Her communication was exceptional. We especially enjoyed relaxing on the porch listening to the birds, putting the table cloth on the picnic table and having a nice breakfast outdoors, and sitting around the fire pit in the evening. We had a nice mix of relaxing at the house and visiting the Cacapon resort state park, Berkley Springs, Paw Paw tunnel, and Cold Run Valley Winery. Thank you!

Cozy cabin for mountain getaways

TamaraRating, 5 stars4 days ago
We found Austin's place last minute on our route home and he accepted our request within minutes. The cabin is at the top of a quiet mountain and was the perfect getaway if your looking for serenity. There's a grocery store less than 20 minutes away you can stop on the way and pick up a few groceries. There are a few local restaurants in the area I'd recommend, the staff and food at Fox Pizza Den were amazing! Highly recommend this place if your looking for peace and quiet surrounded by gorgeous Mountains.

Hilltop Cabin Retreat - Secluded & cozy - Wi-Fi!

SaraRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We stayed here on a Thurs-Sun trip for a family wedding. We had 5 to the house and had plenty of room. The property and cabin are just beautiful and so peaceful. It's all very rustic and rural so you must be comfortable with that to stay here, but it was such an amazing value for what we paid and we were like 15 mins from the venue so it couldn't have been better. High pressure, hot water showers without issue and loads of DVDs and games to choose from as well as good wifi service in the house. Fort Ashby and the surrounding area were wonderful little towns although we didn't have as much time to explore as I would have liked. Finding the place is a bit of a doozy and requires pretty carefully following the host's instructions, so I highly suggest finding it on Google satellite map image and arriving during the daytime. The driveway is steep but not that bad really in warm/good weather. Would recommend this place to anyone!
