Or head to the Conservation reserve, a 10 minute walk - coastal views, seals and bird life abounds.

Karaka Alpaca B&B Farmstay

The Royal Albatross Centre, Little Blue Penguins, Penguin Place, and Larnach Castle are 15-minute drive from the cottage. We are close to many beautiful beaches that host sea lions and seals. There are many great walks with scenic views. It is a self-contained cottage with everything you need for cooking and washing.

Private with lots of room to move, our place has a relaxing beach house feel. Surrounded by large lawns and native trees, it has ultimate privacy. We have a large veranda to enjoy the sunshine and a BBQ. It’s only a 5 minute walk from Hampden Beach, shops, cafes and local tavern. Just a 5 minutes drive to the Moeraki Boulders or a 20 minute walk along the beach. We are only a 25 minute drive south of Oamaru and 50 minutes north of Dunedin.

A beautifully restored two bedroom 1880s settlers cottage offers a blend of historic character with modern comforts nestle in a pretty setting, just a short distance from the city where you can visit local shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. The home features a open plan living area with modern kitchen and bathroom, enjoy a coffee in the morning and a cold beverage and barbecue in the evening.
