Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Hammonds Plains

Had a lovely stay, the hosts were easy to communicate and willing to accommodate my needs. Nice quiet spot in the city with lots of parking but still accessible to the rest of Halifax.

My family and I had an absolutely wonderful stay at lake house cottage. The cottage was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, and the location was perfect for a relaxing getaway. The host ( Benjamin) , was incredibly friendly and helpful, responding promptly to all our questions. We especially appreciated the welcome note, thoughtful touches throughout the cottage. We highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful and enjoyable vacation." 5

We chose this place because it was close by and it is Winter. We had a big snow storm the day of our arrival. Fortunately we only had a 20 min drive and yet it felt like we were in the woods. Robert greeted us and showed us around his lovely home. It was a place where the whole family could spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Day together. All eight of us declared it was the best family Christmas we had in a long time. The beauty could be seen from every window. We were provided with everything we needed to have meals together and to play games and the young adults loved the hot tub. Robert had a beautiful Christmas tree set up and there was lots of little cozy spots to have one on one chats with each other. We realized after meeting Robert that he would be so cool to hang out with but he had other family plans. We are seriously considering making it a new Christmas Tradition.

This was the perfect cabin for our little weekend get away. Perfect size- not too big or small. Cabins can feel crammed and cluttered but this was perfect. It had all you needed and nothing more. Both beds were very comfortable and we enjoyed the inside and outside fireplace/fire pit

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mary's place. It had everything we needed, including a nice big kitchen with a lovely view; it felt like I was cooking in a treehouse :-) Mary was very easy to communicate with. We would be happy to stay here again.

Oh my Goodness! We just Loved! it at Garys home 😊👍 The sunrises and watching the moon rise on the Beautiful Ocean across the street was breath taking!! 🌅 The location is spot on, Bayswater Beach is only 15 minutes away at most. Fox Point, and Mill Cove beach is approximately 10 minutes. Garys home is layed out nicely 👌 bedrooms and bathroom in one section, A glass door to the den, if privacy is required Then the open concept feel of livingroom/ kitchen and dining area, Television in the den, livingroom and bedroom, Kitchen is well equipped, and good counter space, for food preparation The house is private, with woods behind the house 😊👍 The deck has glass railings to sit out and view the beauty of the ocean 🌊 A very cozy feeling there, Very! Welcoming We will definetly be back!!!! Thankyou Gary ! 😊

STUNNING property and location! The home was beautifully decorated with lots of modern touches. It included everything you needed. Lots of cookware/table settings/towels and shower items and was incredibly clean! We were a family of 7 and there was lots of space for everyone to be more than comfortable the whole stay. We loved that we were able to have the two sets of adults in each a bedroom and the kids all shared the room with two beds. The surrounding area is stunning. A quaint little village of locals and other Airbnb's and right on Peggy's Cove. It was incredible! The views are absolutely gorgeous. The only thing we didn't really like was the cost of the cleaning fee. We thought $250 was a bit much for a 3 night stay. Other than that, we truly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend to anyone!

Booked this for my birthday/ Bachelor weekend and it was a hit with the guys & myself! everyone found something to be impressed with and had a great time! there was lots to look at and do while there. Chris was an excellent host and very responsive. This was a great place to stay! it's very quiet and private so there's not a whole lot to do around this time of year (early april) but it was peaceful and beautiful which is more of what we were looking for. 10/10 would recommend this place and host to anyone and I am currently talking it over with the wife to be about coming back with the family! Can't wait! Thanks again Chris, we really enjoyed our time and loved your place!

This is a special place! We were extremely lucky with the weather and got a super sunny day (pretty rare for mid April). Beautiful scenery, the sun glinting on the water, the surrounding islands, the vegetation starting to wake up for spring! Highlights - exploring the trails on the island, enjoying the hot tub, watching the geese, plus the host was extremely friendly and responsive. Also really nice that there’s the option for a one night stay. My suggestions for improvements or for people booking a stay here - bring a bathrobe and slipper or sandals, I guess this wouldn’t be an issue in the summer but currently as it’s still pretty cold out - emerging from the hot tub into the April air and getting to the house was like doing a cold plunge lol. Also recommend bringing lots of layers, it is pretty windy and chilly at night. Overall great stay though, in the summer it would be awesome to swim off the dock, use the fire pit and lounge out on the rocks. Very cool place!
