Í Fjósinum Look forward to staying in one of the oldest houses in the Faroe Islands. In this house you can enjoy the very special atmosphere, of homely and cozy atmosphere. Here are crooked angles, low ceilings, and a somewhat steep staircase up to the ceiling, but good to walk on where 2 bedrooms and bathroom are. On the ground floor there is the hallway, the living room and the kitchen, which has been gently renovated two years ago. It overlooks the lake and the high mountains from the windows.

Enjoy a stay steeped in history in a renovated 100-year-old Faroese warehouse on the water’s edge in the local habour. Fully renovated in 2019, Løðupakkhúsið features all modern amenities while preserving the traditional features of the house with original exposed beams, neutral tones and wooden flooring. Cosy little old house in Tjørnuvík

The house is very old. Originally the house was half the size it is today, only around 15m2. In 1884 they built it bigger, around 29m2. Nobody knows how old the original house is. People have been living in the small village of Tjørnuvík for thousand years.
