About 2.5 hours by car to Shirakawago, Gifu Prefecture. Gokayama as well. From June to early November, it is easily accessible via the Hakusan White Road.  The house is located in a rural area of Satoyama, 24 km from the center of Kanazawa, a 40-minute drive, so a car is necessary. It is 1 hour to the Dinosaur Museum in Fukui, and 1.5 hours to Shirakawa-go, Gifu, by slowly driving on the Hakusan Shirakawa-go White Road. Parking is available for up to 4 cars. There is a cycling road along the Hakusan Torokawa River, which has been certified as a World Geopark. It is a 1-minute drive to a day-use hot spring, 8 minutes to a convenience store and drug store, and 3 minutes to a food supermarket. Basic condiments and rice are provided.  During the day (not after sunset) you can have a BBQ in the garden. We can prepare charcoal and a set of tools for a separate fee. (1,000 yen for up to 4 people, 2,000 yen for 5-8 people) Reservations must be made at least one day before the date of your stay. Cancellations are allowed on the day, and we ask for payment in cash at check-out. BBQ and bicycle rentals (4 free, each with insurance) are available from 1 pm before check-in. From July to the beginning of August, you can also harvest and eat vegetables in the field. It is free of charge.  No smoking in the house, and no grilling with a tabletop cassette stove or hot plate. Fireworks are prohibited, and please finish by around 9 pm.  For restaurants and sightseeing, it is written in the "Guidebook by the Host".
