We desperately needed a vacation to just unwind and focus on family. At first I was reluctant at how remote the house was, but, oh my! This home feels like we had our own paradise. I could have skipped the beaches and just stayed there all week. It was peaceful and more than what I expected! At night we would sit out on the porch and listen to the birds. When it rained you could even hear it on the roof. It was heavenly! My daughter told me tonight that it’s hard to come back to a normal hectic life after being there for over a week. The neighbors are visible, but you have more than enough privacy. The house is far enough from crazy San Juan traffic and crowds, but close enough to the best restaurants and beaches. The host was prompt in answering our questions and giving recommendations. I am super picky about where I stay and I can say that we will for sure be back. Good job on hosting and you’ve got a rare diamond property in the best little neighborhood.

Beautiful home and a very relaxing stay for a family of four adults. The home was open, spacious, and well-kept with plenty of bath and pool linens. There is air conditioning in each room and full access to the washer and dryer. A gentleman showed up twice during our one week stay to clean the pool. Negatives: Occasional noise from road just below the pool patio, the propane tank went empty while preparing our dinner (it was refilled later that evening), and there wasn’t a dishtowel or sponge to wash dishes with upon arrival. That said, there is a well-stocked local market approximately ten minutes from the home. There was plenty of space to relax, read, have quiet time, or play a game, and Yesenia’s home provided a lovely little getaway from the normal daily chaos of work and school routines. Also, we particularly enjoyed listening to the frogs and crickets each evening. Very peaceful. 😊

Jose goes above and beyond for his house guests. Great communication between guests and host, messages were answered at times within minutes. The property is just as described and location is beautiful. No worries on power outages the property has a back-up generator and is solar powered! Just as mentioned it is best to use the coordinates Jose provides. Clear and easy instructions to all amenities on the property. He provided daily recommendations of activities. One day his co-host Norimar even stopped by with pastries and cute cookies for our children to paint! Thank you both so much for being great hosts. Now for the house ! This was a perfect location for a large group. We had 10 guests and we all were comfortable. The house has beautiful details. Just enough things to make home cooked meals and feel at home. The pool is PERFECT for kids, large pad to sit in the water. Pool toys & beach chairs available. I could go on and on! Thank you so much Jose; this trip was a huge success!

The house was just as the described, if not better. The photo of the view from the patio and pool doesn’t quite do it justice as you have a great view of the island, part of the rainforest and out onto the water. The house is a great location to sightseeing and visiting all the island has to offer. The house had all the amenities and more you could ask for. Olivia did a great job with communication and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay!

We highly recommend a stay at Hacienda we Azucena! From the moment we stepped onto the property we felt like we were transported into our own private, tropical paradise! It was like having a resort all to ourselves! The home was very well maintained, and the grounds absolutely pristine. We enjoyed countless hours in the pool and hot tub, as well as star gazing each night. As soon as the sun would go down, the rainforest came alive and we were immersed in all the wonderful sounds of nature. There were a couple hiccups during our stay, which is to be expected, since it is a home in the middle of the rainforest, but Carmen and Jamie were immediately responsive, and had the issues taken care of very quickly! I cannot recommend this property enough, and when my family returns to Puerto Rico, we will definitely be trying to stay here once again! If you’re heading to Puerto Rico, look no further because this is the place you want to stay!

Great place for reading and resting, with a beautiful view of the rainforest mountains, several hammocks and a consistent breeze. Lots of nearby attractions: Minutes to Luquillo beach, zip line parks, El Yunque rain forest, and a good selection of restaurants . We especially appreciated that the house had a generator, so we were not affected by the huge power outage in Puerto Rico…

This is a piece of paradise to enjoy! We especially loved the garden with the beautiful tropical flowers, well designed landscaping and nice seating area. It’s an animal lover’s dream. Not only were we greeted by a sweet kitty, but there were cute tiny geckos and lizards about. Even more special was the daily sighting of a flock of ultra rare Puerto Rican Parrots while enjoying the garden! There are less than 600 in the world! The room was cozy. Lots of charm and very clean. The amenities were fine for us as we didn’t cook - we bought snacks when we weren’t eating out. From the AirBnB you can get to Old San Juan in about 30 minutes. Several beaches are around within a short drive. Lots of things to explore and enjoy! El Yunque offers zip lining, hikes and more. Our host was wonderful! Great communication throughout. Small snag with the internet once, but that was quickly taken care of, and honestly it was probably the internet provider not the host’s home with issue. Would go again!
