Recently renovated traditional chalet, private drive and large garden with spectacular mountain views. Our chalet is located in a very quiet area, 150 m from the bus stop, 700 m from the gondola and the center of the village of Charmey whose tourist offer is rich and varied : thermal baths - indoor swimming pool - hiking - paragliding - skiing - snowshoeing and skating at 1.5 km !

We stayed in the apartment for the second time and also in autumn the apartment is very cozy, as it has a fireplace with wood. The apartment is highly recommended. It is essential to find out about the opening hours of the gondola lift in advance. In the week of our visit, the train was closed for repair work.

Vincent’s place was great for our trip. Really has everything you need - very well equipped kitchen. Good small shops close by and a big supermarket a few minutes away by car. Close to beautiful hiking and to Gstaad, L’etivaz and Gruyère as well.

Little slice of heaven

It's difficult to know where to start, so good was my visit to Fabienne's airbnb. The accommodation was on the ground floor of a lovely chalet with innumerable kitchen facilities, comfortable bed and seating, all very clean and tidy. The views were magnificent and it was an easy, very pleasant downhill walk to Chateau-d'Oex itself, where a co-op supermarket was on the near side of town just short of the railway station. There was even a local train stop near the chalet on the MOB line at La Palaz, 10 minutes' walk from the chalet. For the first morning of my stay, there was already food in the fridge. All I had to do was to keep the wood-burner filled with wood chips (provided) twice a day and adjust the temperature for daytime and night-time and it kept the temperature well. My visit was in late January for the annual hot-air balloon festival and several balloons flew past the chalet at low altitude or landed nearby. Fabienne was a very attentive host, absolutely no complaints.

We enjoyed staying at the chalet very much. Our two children, 3 and 6, immediately felt comfortable. Cecile gave us numerous tips for activities. We received firelighters for the fireplace from the helpful neighbors. We felt very comfortable and would book the chalet again at any time

The house is magnificent, facing south, the views are incredible and the terrace is very nice. Everything in the house is very comfortable and clean. Morane was very welcoming, responds very quickly to any questions and was especially kind in letting us extend our departure (our daughter fell asleep on the sofa at the last minute).

This is the second time we've stayed at Fanny's and it went very smoothly. The cottage is well located in a quiet area. It's spacious and the kids love the selection of DVDs and games. Everything is clean and well maintained - a real pleasure to stay there. We appreciated that everything is available, there is salt, spices, shower gel, etc. Thanks to Fanny!

Our stay in Mical's beautiful chalet was absolutely wonderful. The chalet itself is a traditional chalet, with modern amenities and all comforts which have been sensitively incorporated. One of the best Airbnbs we've ever been to: location, atmosphere, amenities, authenticity, communication, helpfulness - everything wonderful. Highly recommended! Nothing beats a cozy cheese fondue, sitting next to the crackling fireplace in Christophe's Chalet, overlooking the snow-capped mountains all around.
