Brookside Country Escape 40 Minutes to CHC Airport

Arrive at the wonderful space we have created for a peaceful relaxing stay. Sit on the deck or in the spa and enjoy a gorgeous sunset with a glass of wine listening to the bird song. The spaces include a well-appointed kitchen, warm and inviting living area. Separate bedroom with a comfy queen bed. A sofa bed is available for a third guest or sleeping separate. Breakfast includes milk, cereal, fruit, tea and coffee and some lovely farm fresh eggs. Check in via a lock box, flexible.

Country Escape

My place is close to great views of the Southern Alps and away from the hustle and bustle of city living. It is a peaceful country escape. 10 mins to Darfield & 20 mins to Rolleston, and 30 mins to Christchurch or Christchurch airport. My place is good for couples and families (with kids). We are only a few minutes away from the hot air ballooning and an hour from the ski fields. The nearest golf course is only 5 mins down the road with several others available in the Selwyn district.

Darfield: Homebush School Cottage

Homebush Cottage is part of the 130 year old former Homebush School, located on the Southern Scenic Route, 8kms from Darfield township and close to popular Skifields, Lakes and amazing tourist destinations, thus making us the perfect stopover. The cottage is set on 3 acres including beautiful rambling gardens and tennis court. The Cottage is super comfy and suitable for a couple. We provide a self catering continental breakfast including free range eggs from Brown Shavers !!!

Fully furnished 4 bdrm, 2 bath house. Come and relax, with high speed Fibre, a separate lounge with Smart TV, as well as a games rooms situated in the garage complete with a second Smart TV and pool table - allowing the children to have a break from the adults (or vice versa). Fully fenced property means this house is perfect for families with younger children. Our house is situated in the ever growing town of Rolleston, a quick 20 mins drive to the City centre.

Your own private garden looks out over our paddock, home to Roxie and Sidney, our friendly pet sheep, along with Gem and Wednesday, our adorable miniature horses — a favourite with guests of all ages. Just 25 minutes from the airport and 40 minutes from Christchurch CBD, our cottage is perfectly positioned for both convenience and relaxation.
