Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Great Sacandaga Lake

Where do I begin... I've stayed at numerous Airbnb properties, but this one stands out as one of the most beautiful settings I've encountered. The views of the lake are breathtaking, and having direct access to it was a huge bonus. We made full use of the canoes and kayaks provided, enjoying them every day. My husband, an avid fisherman, was thrilled with the lake, calling it one of the best freshwater fishing spots he's ever visited. The grounds are impeccably maintained and offer plenty of privacy. Inside, the house is both comfortable and well-appointed. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the pots, pans, utensils, and small appliances you could need. The beds are extremely comfortable, and the linens are of high quality. The furniture is tasteful and inviting. Karen was a wonderful host, easy to communicate with and responsive. My only regret is that we didn't stay longer. I would return in a heartbeat and recommend this place without hesitation.

This place is such a gem! They thought of everything and so many special touches. We stayed here after taking the boys to Cooperstown for baseball and it did not disappoint. We hope to come again!

Thoroughly enjoyed it perfect thank you so much for the extras that hardly any Airbnb provides! My husband says thank you so much for all the wood you provided it saved him from hauling it. We left our kayaks in North Carolina because they would make too much noise however we were surprised to find kayaks and fishing poles available for renters! You really should put that in your ad, may have been the decision point that we would’ve chosen for you It would be nice if all Airbnb were as accommodating as you guys were . based on the extras ! Hopefully nobody in the future takes advantage of you.

Wonderful stay. Wish it wasn’t pouring rain so we could’ve enjoyed the beautiful patio and fire pit! The host was extremely accommodating and in great communication. Would definitely come back.

The flat was very clean and easy to find. Amy was very responsive and sent us a curated list of recommendations. We also loved the sauna, perfect for rainy days.

My family had a fantastic stay! The place was exactly as described—clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The location was perfect. The host was incredibly responsive and made check-in a breeze. All the details and amenities was so thought out made our stay so easy and convenient . We had an absolutely amazing girls trip at Brianna’s River Cottage! The home is BETTER than expected! Beautiful private location, ample sitting areas, loved the fire pits decks, the fact that kayaks were right there available to use, plenty of bathrooms, close to Saratoga and Lake George, with the 5 of us, Brianna’s home felt like a huge paradise. It was great to be laughing that hard with friends again enjoying each others company like old times- we were barely on our phones just living in the moment! Absolutely recommend staying here, completely exceeded expectations, while we did go out and explore the communities and hiked, we loved the River Cottage so much we spend most of our time there, relaxing and grilling. Highly suggest!

We had an absolutely wonderful winter vacation at "Home at Mayfield"! The property was cozy, clean, and beautifully maintained, making it the perfect getaway for our family. The hosts thought of everything, and their attention to detail truly made us feel at home. The location was convenient and peaceful, allowing us to relax and enjoy every moment of our stay. We’re looking forward to coming back in the summer to experience it all over again in a different season. Highly recommend this gem for a memorable and comfortable stay!

We had an excellent stay at Jills. The space was very clean and well equipped with everything needed. The Hot tub was very enjoyable. Jill was a wonderful host and went above and beyond to assure our stay was great!

Stayed at Juliann’s place for a work trip in the area. The apartment was very comfortable, and the location was perfect — just a short drive to nearby Saratoga and also walkable to local restaurants. The apartment also has plenty of thoughtful touches that made it feel special. Great place for one person or a couple looking for a peaceful stay.

The house is spacious and has four bedrooms, which really hosts a large family. It is very clean when checking in. Some amenities and utilities have age but they are super well maintained. I highly recommend this place if you just would like to have a stay when traveling in upper NY.

Great find. Perfect for a quick visit home. The self-cleaning option was awesome and kept the price low. The space was larger than expected, modern and had a fun, cozy vibe. I’d definitely book again next time I’m back in upstate NY.

Had an excellent stay at Keith’s place! Everything was clean and as described. Keith even reached out to us to let us know we can check in early if we wanted. It’s literally 2mins from Skidmore which is the reason we were there and I couldn’t recommend it more. Will be back when we are in town again.

We were looking for a place to stay near our son in Ballston Lake and this one stood out. Historic and unique home. Beth was a great host, very responsive to any communication. The place met our needs and had a nice view of the Mohawk River in the back yard. Just be aware they are right on a highway so there is a lot of traffic noise, and there are 2-3 apartments in the place as well. But overall that was well described and expected and ear plugs worked just fine. Thanks for sharing your home Beth!

Great spot. well equipped. 15min walk to track/town.

We found that the place was exactly as described. Everything was very good. We loved your recliners out on the back, looking out the sliding glass doors overlooking the lake. It was very peaceful calm. We were able to get one fire in on Friday night. At the campfire was so peaceful and quiet and serene. Looking across the lake at the cabins with their lights on was just a beautiful relaxing time. We want to thank Barry and Shirley very much and I’m about 99% sure that we will be back again. Thanks again.

A really awesome place, ideal for relaxing and get energized without external distractions ! Limited network depending on your carrier, which was exactly what we were looking for! A bit chilly in mid October - as advertised - but Pam made everything to make sure we were comfortable ! I am pretty sure I will come back! Lots to do in terms of hiking, and activities in the cities nearby

This was a beautiful home. It’s extremely warm and welcoming and served our family well for the weekend.

It was a very peaceful and relaxing setting. Everything was great. Hot tub is new and worked great. We had a lot of rain and spent a lot of time inside. It was very cozy. We really enjoyed our stay.

Wow! We had an amazing stay at Ashley’s Airbnb this past week. The house was extremely clean and charming. It was perfect for our family and dogs. It’s only a 3 minute commute to downtown and 5 minute from million dollar beach, which is perfect for when you are traveling with dogs and little ones. The backyard is so calm and serene. This was the cleanest Airbnb we have ever stayed at. The mattresses are extremely comfortable and the blackout curtains are an added bonus. They provide the propane for the grill and firewood, which are just a few less items to worry about bringing. We have already booked our stay for next summer. You can’t beat the combination of privacy and location.

Home is beautiful and host was communicative even checking on us mid-stay. Our only suggestion is to provide additional washcloths. We did not have enough for our party of four. The location is beautiful, however, we chose the wrong lcation for the bike ralley because we were not familiar with the area. For someone looking for a quiet remote location, this will be the perfect get-a-way spot.

This was a lovely Adirondack cabin getaway. very private and peaceful surroundings, and its just close enough (~15/20 min) to town and 25 min to Lake George. The home was clean and cozy with a fun basement full of activities and an amazing hot tub!! Uzma and Billy were very responsive throughout our visit. I'd definitely stay here again.

Beautiful cabin and great amenities. The wood burning stove was our favorite part along with the wood furnishings. A lot of great things to do and the hosts were so kind and friendly. Definitely a great place to book (just keep in mind the nearest restaurants are about 30 minutes away but the cabin has a well equipped kitchen for baking and cooking plus smores!). thank you for a wonderful time.
