"THE LAKE HOUSE"

If you're looking to get away somewhere where the world can't find you, you can't do much better than Lost Lake, which is a peaceful 20 minute drive west from Shelton. And if you're staying on Lost Lake, you can't do much better than Debbie's house, which sits on a point sticking right out into the middle of the lake. Water on three sides! The house is simple and comfortable, and if the weather's nice you won't want to leave the patio--BBQ, large dining table, patio chairs, and raised firepit. And of course, hopping in the kayaks and paddleboats to tour the lake is a must. We came here for an unusually sunny and warm April weekend but would definitely come back for high summer!

What a cozy and immaculate house! We were there for a month and felt right at home. I ended up doing a lot of cooking as the kitchen was nicely kitted out. Shanah always responded immediately and was so helpful. There's also a lovely little state park just up the road that had forest/dunes/beach walks which we really enjoyed.

We had a two-night stay at the Home Sweet Dome and truly didn’t want to leave. Only a 2 hr drive from our home north of Seattle, it was a perfect getaway. The home has been so lovingly cared for—it’s clear that Tyler has poured thought and intention into every detail. The dome was cozy, beautifully designed, and spotless, with everything we needed for a relaxing escape. We lucked out with a couple of gorgeous sunny days and spent time exploring the nearby Dry Creek Trail, which was a definite highlight—peaceful, scenic, and just the right mix of adventure and ease. Back at the dome, we loved unwinding on the deck and watching the light filter through the trees. Tyler was a responsive and thoughtful host, making the entire experience smooth and welcoming from start to finish. If you're looking for a restorative getaway surrounded by nature, we can't recommend Home Sweet Dome enough. We’re already thinking about when we can come back!

What a beautiful little hideaway. We had such an amazing time. Lots of outdoor activities to do in the area. Jessica and Nate provide heaps of outdoor toys and indoor activities. Probably the most well stocked Air BNB I've ever stayed in and love that it's pet friendly (greatly appreciate a fenced in yard). Only wish we had visited in the summer and could get in the water.

Suzanne’s place was cozy and well stocked for our cabin weekend! The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful, and the lake area is stunning! The lake was a bit of a far walk for us, especially with the fishing gear, so we drove - but it was a very short drive! We loved the fire pit, and having a cozy spot to grill dinner. We would definitely stay here again!

Charming Log Cabin at Lake Cushman

This was our second visit to Tiffanie's cabin. We returned because it's a wonderful place to spend a weekend – cozy and reminiscent of the wood-paneled cabins we enjoyed as children. We were here in the Spring, which meant quiet relaxation by the nearly-full reservoir. The cabin is well-suited for just about anybody's needs, with a fully-stocked kitchen and lovely modern amenities that don't make the cabin feel *too* modern. The interior and exterior are gorgeous – wood everywhere, a cozy fireplace and a real sense that you're in a well-loved home. We look forward to returning again, someday.

We had an amazing stay at Owl’s Hollow as a family of 5. This was one of the best Airbnb’s that I’ve ever stayed in. The view of Lake Cushman from the house was simply breathtaking. The cozy yet spacious home had beautiful woodwork throughout and was well stocked with everything you could need. We enjoyed the wood burning stove, spacious downstairs level for card games/yoga, and the outside fire pit (s’mores kit provided by host!). There was plenty of firewood for the fire pit. Waking up to the view from the master bedroom was sublime and the large walk-in shower was wonderful after a long day of hiking. Andrea was a very attentive host and communicated well with us during our stay. She had great recs for lovely hikes around the area and places to eat. We would love to stay here again someday.

We spent three unforgettable nights in this charming A‑frame cabin—just a two‑hour drive from Seattle—and couldn’t have asked for a better home base. The cabin is beautifully nestled in the trees, with a welcoming gas fire pit and grill on the outdoor deck, a fully stocked kitchen, and even a s’mores kit to cap off cozy evenings by the fireplace. Inside, the beds were super comfortable, and mornings started with hot coffee or tea as we planned our adventures. By day, we walked down to the lake for sunrise views, tackled the nearby Staircase Hike Loop, and took our Jeep on forest‑service trails for some off‑roading fun. We also brought our e‑bikes and loved exploring the quiet roads of the community. One afternoon we drove into Hoodsport for authentic Mexican eats—highly recommend the fish tacos! I will stay here again. The owner was extremely communicative and helpful. Although in a neighborhood, the home was surrounded by trees and felt like you had some privacy. Kitchen is well stocked, and I appreciate it having wood for the woodburning stove in the living room. Short drive to Olympic national Park in Hoodsport. Everyone seem to like their beds and we appreciated the board games available.

The cabin was an absolute Gem, from the amazing view to the cozy cabin with a wood fire pit that will keep you comfortable and warm all day and night. The property has plenty of room to explore and an awesome fire pit for late night fires with a night sky full of stars. Lezli was very helpful during check in and responsive to any questions about the stay. I would highly recommend a stay at the cabin on Dow mountain to anyone wanting a nice relaxing mountain getaway.

Lisa’s place is quiet and super clean. We were able to walk to the beach in less than 10 minutes. Beds were big and comfortable with large windows in rooms. Shelving in closets was helpful. Kitchen was good size, well stocked. Would be happy to return.

This is a great lot. The outdoor gazebo with stovetop and sink were great during hot weather so you don’t need to cook inside. It has lights we used at night making it easier to walk around. The neighbors are very friendly. We had a great time and loved the park on Lake Kokanee.

Great cabin! Clean with upgraded bathrooms. Beds are very comfortable with a pull out couch in the living room. Kitchen is spacious. The only downside is lack of regular coffeemaker. There is a Keurig but no coffee pods. The property has easy access to the lake. Fun bar and restaurant right next to it with live music. Great people. Overall, it's a great rental. Will definitely come back.

We had a small group of friends stay at this house for a weekend of scuba diving in Hood Canal. The house was great - very close to the town and a beautiful view of the mountains nearby. The kitchen was well-equipped, which made it easy for us to cook dinner, and the large living and dining room were nice for hanging out. We would stay here again.

Crystal and TN are great hosts. The house was clean, spacious, and quiet. Beds are comfortable. The canal in the backyard is peaceful. We saw 5 deer walk along the canal in the backyard. The kitchen is very large with all the standard amenities you need to cook at home.

We stayed at Jason's place over the Christmas holidays and New Year, and it was truly one of the best experiences we've had. The house is a beautiful waterfront property set on a farm with stunning scenic views. It was pristine, tastefully decorated, and incredibly spacious, with high ceilings that added to its charm. We celebrated New Year here, and the house had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable and longer stay. If you're looking for a serene getaway, far from the hustle and bustle of the city, this is the perfect spot to relax and recharge. We had such a fun time at this lovely place. So awesome that there are tons of amenities and things to do already provided. When one of the bedrooms upstairs was a little too bright, they offered to make up the downstairs bed for us! A very thoughtful gesture. Hosts are kind and responsive. Place is clean and decorated with impeccable taste. Would happily stay here again!

Truly spectacular! It felt like being a guest at a friend’s house, so many thoughtful touches. The kitchen was well stocked and we made all our meals there. Very clean, board games plus legos, beach towels, access to private dock, kayaks and life jackets. The lake and the views were amazing and close access to Staircase hike. Definitely recommend!

The house was absolutely perfect. The walk to the beach at Lake Cushman is conveniently located 5 min away from the house. Our oldest son learned how to operate a kayak all on his own during this trip! If you’re looking to explore the area and need a place to stay - I strongly recommend Julie‘s house. Throughout our stay, Julie was extremely responsive and accommodating. We really loved our time in Hoodsport!

Great place with very relaxing atmosphere. There is an otter living in the lake. We loved watching him swim around. Quiet and comfortable. The jacuzzi and sauna was our favorite part! 10/10 recommend
