Vacation rentals with lake access in Gloucestershire

Back from a fantastic weekend stay at Vincent’s place. Loved the setting, truly beautiful and quiet, overlooking the lake. House was really well equipped, and spacious and was a fantastic base for the weekend to catch up with old friends. My only slight negative was that the bedrooms had blinds rather than curtains which let a lot of light in, and so we all woke early. That said it was a beautiful place and we would not hesitate to book again. Thank you Vincent.

We had a great time at Sharon’s home. The hosts were very proactive in communicating with us, the house was great, very spacious, clean and great amenities. The surroundings by the lakes was also perfect for our trip! We hope to come back in the future.

We had a wonderful stay at Waddle On Inn overlooking the lake. The house was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. The location is fabulous and perfect for exploring the Cotswolds or having a relaxing break. Five star. Thank you so much xx

Beautiful place with a great view over the lake. It also looks bigger than the pictures and comfortably hosted 6 people and 2 medium sized dogs! The weather was great and we had a good sized outdoor area to eat and relax, but as it got cool in the evening we moved back indoors where three was more than enough space to play games around the table. The bedding was also very comfy which made for a really cosy nights sleep! We would definitely come back.

We had a lovely stay at the Cotswolds retreat! All the rooms were spacious and the view onto the lake was lovely and peaceful. We struggled to change the heating in our rooms which meant without the fans provided we would have been too warm but that's probably our own fault and not the property itself. The only issue was the light from the bathroom in the main room was shining through in the early hours of the morning due to there being no blinds in the bathroom.

We had a great stay in this lovely cottage - lots of space for a family of 4 and furnished to a high standard. Sarah was an excellent host - friendly, responsive, and took the time to show us where everything was. The freshly cut flowers, local eggs and chocolates were a nice touch. Also conveniently located across the road from a supermarket. Would definitely recommend!

Can't speak highly enough about the experience of staying in Sarah & Stuart's lovely house, which is very well located , in superb condition with excellent amenities. Sarah was incredibly helpful throughout - both prior to check in, during our stay and after. She was very responsive and always on hand for questions. We were a group of 4 adults and 4 children and the house was perfect and we hope to be back. Highly recommend!

Very comfortable stay - exactly where we wanted in the centre of Frampton. Lovely treat to have full breakfast ingredients provided.

All I can say is WOW! Yvie’s place couldn’t be better located, yards away from the market place and beautiful church. Had a wonderful sleep and Yvie couldn’t have done any more to make me feel welcome. Yvie is a warm, friendly and super-interesting host, and she told me lots of local tips that really enhanced my stay. I walk a lot and stay in Air b&b’s all over the country, and Yvie’s is right up there with my very favorites, perhaps right at the top. Thankyou Yvie for a very memorable stay. Thames Path walkers - get yourself booked in, you’ll have a lovely stay here.

Really appropriate and very good area. It is a camping area so expect to see a lot of people and noise in the area. Enjoyed the stay!

Great with last minute bookings

A cosy contained flat sitting about an absolutely stunning valley, overlooking a wood beyond. Holly's flat was absolutely perfect for what I wanted - an away from it all, peaceful location where I could study and write. I love nature and I was surrounded by deer, incredible birdsong, red kites, pheasants and so much more. I was lucky to be here for the bluebells and also the golden fields of rapeseed. Ideal location for anyone who likes hill walking, hiking and / or is doing the Cotswold Way. It takes less than 10 mins to drive into Cheltenham, but this place is truly an oasis of calm and serenity. A 6-min drive to the nearest large supermarket, so that was handy. The furniture etc might be a tad dated but, honestly, the price reflects that fact and, frankly, I loved that this wasn't a show home, but rather a well-loved country place. Holly was wonderful to interact with. I recommend this flat in the heart of the Cotswolds. The bed is super comfy too!

Really cosy, comfortable lovely barn, set amongst picturesque lakes and commutable to lots of gorgeous towns.

Great stay, comfortable bed and great location. Chippy and small shop are very convenient.

The apartment was even better in reality than in the photos - lovely decor and comfortable beds/sofas. As we had lovely weather for our weekend stay , we sat outside on the rooftop terrace relaxing at every opportunity, listening to birdsong and lake-watching the wildlife. We hadn’t appreciated the amount of activities on offer at Lower Mill Estate but used the outdoor heated pool, recliners and sauna before we checked in - it really started our weekend in relaxing mood. We went to Ballihoo restaurant during our visit and this was a great family restaurant, very casual with good food - a few minutes walk from the accommodation. We did some Cotswolds sightseeing on the Saturday and it was lovely to know our penthouse and sundeck was waiting when we returned in the afternoon. Jane recommended a local restaurant for the Saturday evening and we weren’t disappointed- the food was absolutely delicious and it made the weekend perfect. Jane & Nico - thank you for everything:-)

We had a lovely stay at Aston Cottage over the May bank holiday weekend. We were a family of 6 adults and 2 children. The older adults did plenty of walking around the Estate, and the children had a great time in the play areas, soft play and the swimming pool! Two of the adults brought their own bikes and made good use of these too. Alex and Emma were excellent hosts, and were very responsive to any queries we had, both before we arrived and after. There was a small hiccup with the hot water, but this was soon sorted, once I raised. The early check in was very welcome, and so by the time our supermarket shop arrived, we were all set to start the weekend. The house and bathrooms were well equipped with condiments and bathroom 'stuff'. The Pizza shack was a great find! The only negative comments were that it was difficult to warm up the cottage, and the cleaners could pay more attention to detail, ie oven needs cleaning and there were many cobwebs! Thank you both!

Catherine and Dai were lovely hosts! Super helpful with everything we needed to make our stay memorable, from sharing local recommendations of places to eat and visit to sharing us the tennis balls we needed to enjoy the tennis court =) Their house is gorgeous with big attention to detail. All of us loved it! A dream escape in the Cotswolds!

Mayfly Lodge was a wonderful, comfortable and homely space for a family Christmas. Well equipped and comfortably furnished, it feels like a family home from the board games in the cupboard to the quality kitchen appliances! And it was tastefully decked out for Christmas! It is in a beautiful location, situated in the restful park and with a fill of activities in close proximity. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Fantastic stay- idylic views perfect for a peaceful getaway. The house was well stocked with family friendly equipment, and features like the bbq were perfect for sunset evenings. We would definitely recommend our stay to any small group wanting quiet evenings and busy watersports days

Fairhazel was a lovely cottage. Spotlessly clean with many thoughtful touches and lots of goodies. Lower Mill Estate is a lovely place to stay with lots to do - paddle boarding, swimming, walking, tennis and cycling. We would definitely recommend and will return. Thank you Jason

Had a lovely weekend in clover cottage - exactly as the pictures show - we loved the outside space as it was very private and as the weather was good was able to have all our meals there with no one overlooking us - cottage was lovely and beds comfy - went for a lovely walk along the Thames path and came across a lovely little pub - and had a early swim in the lovely pool - it was so lovely and warm we didn’t want to get out - thank you - would go back again

We had a great weekend at Lower Mill Village. Hope to return in the future.

Nicky was a perfect host - stunning cottage with lots of lovely decor and homely touches. Parking is great for 2 cars and location ideal, a <1min walk to a lovely countryside pub and a few more minutes until you’re in the main town. Beds and furniture super comfy. It was great for our dog who was warmly welcomed and the dog/house rules mean the house has been treated with care by prior guests so you get to stay somewhere luxurious whilst being able to bring your pet. We had lots of communication and effort from Nicky to ensure we had the perfect stay. For those keen on walking we enjoyed walking from the cottage to the nature reserve as well as a loop up and around upper/lower slaughter that also stops off at the Hawkstone Brewery. Can see why it’s had great reviews, looking forward to staying again ☺️🏡
