"Merrywell"at Merryland Farm A horse lovers haven

You will have a front row view of a working horse farm from this private guest house on the edge of Country Life Farm's Merryland Thoroughbred Nursery. "Merrywell" A 3 bedroom, stucco on stone historic house dating to the early 1900's. Although you might just want to stay in and enjoy the pastoral views of this conserved property in the Long Green Valley, it is a close drive to all the major attractions of the baltimore area, 10 miles west of Towson and just over the hill from Bordy Vineyard.

Our 1919 charming home, surrounded by 50 acres of preserved land, is in an historic district and a stone's throw from the NCR hike/bike trail. We have tubes to float down the Gunpowder River which winds around our property and is accessible by foot. The bike path is lovely! Inverness Brewery is located 5 minutes away, Starbright farm is a glorious lavender farm 15 minutes north, Boordy Vineyards, a family run winery, is 20 minutes east, and Ladew Toipiary Gardens is another gem to behold!

Nestled along the Gunpowder Falls State Park you can enjoy long summer days lounging in the pool under a canopy of trees or take an adventure along the hiking trails easily accessible from the back yard. This spacious 2 bedroom apartment is located in a lovely, safe suburban neighborhood. Guest will enjoy the lovely garden setting and patio. Only a short drive to The Inner Harbor, Annapolis, Camden Yards, M&T Bank Stadium,Johns Hopkins, just to name a few. Guests will definitely feel right at home with free wi fi ,HBO and Showtime. Unwind in our cabin tucked away on a private lane mins from Chestertown. We are situated on 6.5 wooded acres, perched up on 100’ bluff overlooking Churn Creek, a tributary off the Chesapeake Bay. Idyllic water views framed by a canopy of oak trees. Enjoy nature as you relax outside by the fire pit or stroll down to the ‘point’ to take in wildlife, or take a kayak out to explore the creek and water fowl. Deer come up through the woods and are often spotted on the property.

The owners live upstairs, but the spaces are distinct, private and separated by a heavy curtain. Very little noise bleeds through.

Fox Cottage is a modern addition to our 115 year old Victorian home. It’s a One Bedroom Queen size mattress & memory foam topper. There’s a Loft with a Full Size Memory Foam Mattress. The loft is a cozy space accessible by a vintage wooden ladder. It is not appropriate for people who cannot climb a ladder. There’s an outdoor seating area with a Chiminea to light a fire, enjoy a cup of coffee or wine, work or just listen to the birds.
