A beautiful property in a beautiful part of Scotland. We felt very comfortable and at home at Firthview. Immaculately clean and with great facilities, we wouldn't hesitate to return.

Cosy camping pod with sea views

JackyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Very charming and magical place with a beautiful view of the North Sea. They foster a sense of community with the shared kitchen where you can meet fellow travelers if you are inclined. Be aware that you really need to be equipped with your own stuff like towels, soap, shampoo, etc. Bedding is available for the huts if you ask but that's pretty much it. The huts have electric heating for chilly nights. Some small improvements could be made, like having hand towels in the bathroom and maybe a more comfortable mattress on the wood floor. As with all shared spaces, you encounter some who are more considerate than others. And the view of the sea can sometimes be obstructed by camper vans. But overall, this is very worthwhile for the calm and beauty, and there are nifty spots you can walk to nearby. Having a hired car, or your own, makes a stay here much more accessible. Oh, the chickens and the cat wandering around are adorable!
A directional signpost is featured at John O'Groats, displaying distances to various locations, including Edinburgh and New York. The background presents a serene view of the water under a soft pastel sky, indicating early morning or evening light.

Uninterrupted sea views on NC500

Chandan KumarRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Can’t describe how beautiful the location is . The house is so beautiful and the view is breathtaking . We were welcomed by golden rays of sun and a rainbow . Sarah is the loveliest and warmest person I have ever met . She personally helped us know everything about the house. The kitchen is very well equipped. Kids room was so much fun with colourful lights , they had so much fun. Due to lack of time we couldn’t enjoy the hot tub and many more things like walking down the shore or the area. We just laid down and soaked in as much as we could. Overall this stay was amazing and definitely made our NC500 memorable.

A single-story bungalow is set within a spacious green field. Surrounding gardens feature low shrubs and ornamental plants. The building has a simple, clean design, with a grayish exterior and a softly sloping roof, offering a serene rural setting against a bright sky.

LGBTQ+ no frills room with en-suite.

RobertRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Fine room with an en suite, quiet, far enough off the main road for no noise, close enough to be easy to get to. Jennifer was great, very helpful and friendly.
A well-behaved dog sits in the grassy garden area of the cottage, with a stone structure and wooden fence in the background. The entrance of the cottage is visible, framed by greenery and against a blue sky with scattered clouds.

Khyber Cottage

KateRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Had a great stay in Clare’s wee cottage, I genuinely can’t think of how it can be improved. Is seems very freshly decorated and all the things that we needed were there including some well thought through extras e.g. extension sockets. Very comfy bed, lovely lounge area, well equipped kitchen (not that we used it much). We had accommodation envy from friends staying elsewhere! We’d definitely return if we ever get the chance, thanks very much.

An ancient stone structure sits on a grassy hillside, overlooking the calm sea and distant coastline. Clear blue skies stretch overhead, creating a peaceful backdrop for this historical site. The circular remains of the structure are partially reclaimed by nature, surrounded by lush greenery.
