We had a fantastic stay at this wonderful 8-sleeper getaway for New Year’s! The place was spotless, well-equipped, and truly felt like a home away from home. All we had to bring was our food, which made things so convenient. Our family had such an amazing time that we’re already looking at upcoming dates to book again. I was initially concerned about not having a TV for the kids, but they had so much fun that it wasn’t missed at all. The fishing was excellent, even with the dam’s water levels being low. If we could suggest one improvement, it would be to add fans in the rooms as it does get quite hot at night. Other than that, everything was perfect. A big thank you to the host for their excellent service and attention to detail. Keep up the great work – we’ll definitely be back soon!

This was our second visit to Frans place and it was as if we returned to family. Fran and Rick are extremely accommodating superhosts and we will definitely recommend them and their place without any reservations. Frans is our go to home away from home. it's was great like the place quite peaceful

Our stay was really fantastic for our dogs and had plenty to keep our children busy. Was a lovely getaway being outdoors and exploring nature. Greg was super helpful in settling us in and allowing us to take our dogs on walks down to the dams. The house's interiors and kitchen is older than we expected, however the rooms and bedding was comfortable. Overall there was more to do and enjoy, than what we expected!

A Perfect Riverside Escape We recently spent a weekend at this charming 2-bedroom house on the banks of the Vaal River, and it was everything we could have hoped for! The location is absolutely stunning, offering peaceful, scenic views of the river right from the doorstep. The bedrooms were spacious, and the beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a good night's rest after a day spent relaxing by the water. The kitchen was fully equipped, making it easy to prepare meals. One of the highlights was being so close to the river—it was a delight to wake up to the sound of water flowing and to spend time sitting outside, taking in the natural beauty. Whether you're looking to fish, enjoy a quiet escape, or just relax by the water, this house is an ideal spot. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy the serenity of the Vaal River.
