A simple guest house in the countryside in Småland. Beautiful and calm accommodation. The cottage has electricity but not water and sewage. Stove plates are available and fridge, water you get in cans by us or take yourself via a hose. Own well with very good water. An outdoor toilet is next to the cabin. A simple outdoor shower (model "bucket-shower"). Lovely outdoor area with hammock and outdoor furniture. Bring bed linens and towels. Duvet and pillows are available. New from 2024: Newly renovated cottage with new flooring and new wallpaper. Warmly Welcome!

Welcome to Skogshuset Solhaga! Here you can enjoy the tranquility, go on adventures in the forest and discover what is typical of Småland. The house is newly renovated and modernly furnished and is located about 25 minutes from Astrid Lindgren's Vimmerby and about 50 minutes from Västervik and the Småland archipelago. It offers all amenities, and from the garden, a path leads to the magical forest, a place for children and adults, for play and contemplation. A boat on our own small lake is included, and a child-friendly swimming area can be reached in 10 minutes.

Just a few minutes from central Västervik is the Gränsö Nature Reserve, a coastal peninsula where nature takes center stage. In a quiet area, we rent out our guesthouse, which offers some views of the water and has nature as its closest neighbor. Here, you wake up to the sparkling sea and the sound of birds singing, and fall asleep to the tranquility of the forest. There are several swimming areas, and the nearest one is located about 150 meters from the guesthouse. You can access hiking trails right around the corner from the house.

Welcome to rent our cozy cottage in Grönhult with proximity to Vimmerby, Astrid Lindgren's world 23 km and the summer town Västervik 35 km. The cottage is located inside a gravel road with the forest as the nearest neighbor. A nice child-friendly swimming area is five minutes away by car. Two bedrooms. Bathroom with shower (water heater 50l) No drain so it is a combustion toilet. In the kitchen there is a stove, half fridge/freezer and microwave. There is barbecue outside. For outdoor games there is a dartboard, bokia and kubb.

The house has two bedrooms, a living room, a dining room, a kitchen and a new bathroom with a toilet, a shower and a washing machine. Two double beds (one large, and one 140 cm wide) and one single bed (pull-out sofa in the dining room, for children or shorter adults). Guests clean themselves after their stay. Please bring your own towels and bedsheets.

Here you have lake Saljen close by (2km) where you can swim and fish. There are several walking trails directly from the house. In the beautiful garden we have a fire pit for grill evenings. It is part of an old Swedish farmhouse on a 10 hectare property located between the lakes Rummelsrum and Hyttegöl. Pillows, duvets, bed linen and towels are included in the price. Guests make their own beds. Of course, there is a TV, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth speakers. It's only about 10 minutes to Västervik Resort and about 15 minutes to the city center. Note: The house has been expanded in 2025 to get to a proper bedroom.

Holiday in Småland at Astrid-Lindgrens- bike path

Our summer cottage is located in the middle of Smålands nature near the small community of Locknevi, 27km from Vimmerby. The property is located on a very quiet rural road from where you can take wonderful bike tours and hikes in our picture book landscape. The next lake with a beach is 5 km away and the Baltic Sea is easy to reach by car. Excursions: e.g. Astrid Lindgren's birthplace, Astrid Lindgren's world, many film locations and Västervik on the archipelago
