Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Garðabær

Stayed here with my family of four. Place is perfect. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen is fully equipped. Felt safe and beautiful location. Were able to see the northern lights in a clear evening.

Asta was so helpful with local recommendations, and her house was clean welcoming. We had everything we needed right at our fingertips. The sauna and hot tub were great for relaxing. The location was perfectly central for exploring the Reykjavik peninsula.

My husband, my daughter and me visited Iceland in April. We had a great time and felt very comfortable in Erna's house. She and her family gave us a warm welcome and were always available for questions. The house is nice and cozy and equipped with everything you could wish for. It is only a few minutes from Reykjavik and the location is perfect for exploring the south coast (by car). We can highly recommend it!

Beautiful home to stay in if you're visiting Iceland! The house is in a really quiet location with stunning mountain views, but still super well connected to Reykjavik. Overall, the location is brilliant for exploring different parts of the country. The house itself feels so homey and the hot tub overlooking the mountains was definitely an extra highlight! 😄 Lonnie was super responsive and friendly in all her messages, so if you're looking for a home away from home in Iceland, I can definitely recommend this one! ✨️

We stayed wishing to catch the Northern Lights and we were lucky enough to do so each night and be there for a huge solar storm. We ventured out the first night and after that realized we were able to stay comfy at our airbnb and see them both in the front yard and backyard. The house was spacious and our children 7 & 1 loved the books and toys available. We were offered a portable crib and high chair which were convenient. There were plenty of novels for adults and a variety of books on Iceland. There is a washer and large drying rack, dishwasher, and full kitchen which was wonderful since it is a serene spot you can relax and not run down the road 15 minutes for food or coffee. I enjoyed walking the road to the church and admiring the horses next door. The location is remote and going to parks or the city required an hour drive. Our host was gracious and extended our check out which was helpful. Thank you for your hospitality.

Stay here just like home. Great area to live and very quiet. There are several supermarkets and restaurants around. Dagmar is very responsive and definitely a great host with very good taste for home!

A stay at this lovely place gives you a high-end experience, no doubt. The house is spacious, clean, well organized, has super tasteful interiors, and a hot tub as the cherry on top! I was simply left with a "wow" after check in and seeing all the small details Thorunn pays attention to. She had made sure that we would not lack a thing, and the instructions she provided us with answered litterally every questions we had during our stay. What a perfect host Thorunn is! Highly recommend✨

One of the most beautiful and comfortable apartments we have ever been in Airbnb. very very well equiped and extremely organized, sparkling clean. we felt really at home. the decoration is so beautiful, we took pictures for inspiration. Helga and Óskar were super nice, responsive (even during Christmas day!) and helpful. it's a residential neighborhood, just 10 min drive from the city center. take this apartment, you won't regret it!

I recommend Björg's flat in Reykjavik. It has everything you need for cooking; at least three supermarkets are really close by. Everything in Reykjavik is reachable in under an hour by foot. This is a perfect origin for your explorations and also a perfect destination for relaxing after a longer trip. I would definitely choose the accommodation again.

This is one of the best AirBnbs I have ever stayed at. Gudrun’s home is spectacular - more beautiful than the pictures and she is an incredible host - very helpful and kind. Her home is very well equipped with every possible luxury that you could imagine. Highly recommend this home if you want a wonderful place to stay.

Great apartment with lots of space for kids to play, we enjoyed the stay

We had an amazing time at Geir’s family home! This was an incredible place to spend the new year and we would absolutely return! The location is perfect. We were able to walk outside the city lights a short distance to get an amazing view of the northern lights. A designated lookout is also a short car ride away. Plus, downtown Reykjavík is a short car or bus ride away! It could also be a good walk for those who like to hike.

The place Birkir offered us really exceeded our expectations. Check-in was easy. We found the house in a state of absolute cleanliness, truly fragrant and equipped with everything you might need, from hairdryers, to detergents, from the "bagnarola" to the plaids. The accommodation is really spacious and has various additional amenities such as TV and a game console, as well as a barbecue. There is also a reserved parking space in front of the property itself. The only neutral note is the absence of an elevator, but the stairs are wide enough and not too high to climb, even with size L suitcases. The neighborhood is equipped with essential shops, such as a Bonus a few minutes walk away and a bus stop right in front of the house, not to mention the fact that it is just 15 minutes from the center of Reykjavik.

Very spacious and comfortable apartment. Huge bathroom. Kitchen well and plenty of cooking utensils. Regular cleaning, needs some deep cleaning.

Loved our stay there. Spent about a week and had everything we needed. We try to pack light and made great use of the washing machine and massive drying rack (I took a pic because I want one at home) we got a bit confused finding the place but Arnar was there greet us and came down to the street and turned we were right in front of it. Tons of space and peaceful but also right near main part of town. We walked whenever we did things in town. Also very responsive. I asked questions before during and after our trip and he was always very available. Highly recommend this place for any group.

Very attractive and comfortable cabin in a beautiful area which feels entirely private despite being only an hour from Reykjavik. Great base for hiking or sightseeing. We had five days here and felt we only scratched the surface of what the area has to offer. Cabin is very well and thoughtfully equipped. Matthias was a great host and offered fantastic recommendations of things to do and see. No hesitation at all in recommending.

Was a great stay! Our host was super responsive and very helpful. Beds were very comfortable and had plenty of blankets! The cottage was out of the way, which was exactly what we were looking for! It wasn’t too far away from town, maybe a 30 minute drive.

We had an amazing stay at Zilvina's. The location is even more beautiful than in the photos. The house is at the end of a lane and has great privacy and no other houses in view from inside, some in the distance from the garden. The view over the snowy hills in early March was incredible, and we watched the most impressive northern lights we have ever seen right on the doorstep. The morning light was glorious and it is worth planning a slow breakfast at the cabin. It was difficult getting the fire to restart at night once it had cooled down, and the sofa bed and pillows were uncomfortable, but overall it was very atmospheric staying in a wood-heated, solar-powered cabin and we loved our stay.

We had such a great time, the cabin exceeded expectations in every way! Lilja was very responsive and helpful for any questions we had. The most beautiful surroundings and so peaceful! We enjoyed the hot tub, dart board and pool table. We even got to see the auroras on 2 separate nights which was a real highlight! The kitchen is small with a small over, this didn’t matter for us but could be useful to know if you were not planning to go out much. Thank you for a wonderful stay. I would highly recommend this cabin!!

The location is beautiful! Very private, modern, clean, and excellently maintained house with incredible views. The host was very helpful and responsive. Definitely recommend.
