Villa vacation rentals in Gaiola Island

Massimo is a wonderful host. Its obvious he enjoys welcoming guests. During our holiday, we kept asking for his advice and he was always on hand to help us. This made us feel very secure. On the practical side: When we arrived at the flat he had provided us with so many useful things like jams, bread, milk, olive oil, toilet roll, washing up stuff, shampoo and mosquito stuff. The only thing to note is that the flat is located in a Marina which is a slight distance from the 'town' of Vica Equense. There is a local bus that goes from the Marina but it's sometimes full. If any of your party have mobility problems then you need to consider that. We loved coming back to the peace of the Marina and its lovely restaurants.

This house is really quite incredible! The layout and design of the apartment is fun, artistic, spacious and eclectic! The shower is big with great pressure, and there is a lot of outdoor space you can use! The host lives above you, in the main house, so they are always available to help out! We meet Anna’s daughter, Francesca as our greeter! She was incredibly kind, very helpful, quick to respond and she even booked us a reservation for dinner at one of the places she recommended! You are close enough to Napoli for day trips, but you are just out of the way to avoid the bad traffic! Lots of stores within walking distance to satisfy your needs! Would definitely stay at this apartment again! The hosts are truly amazing and the apartment is wonderful! Thank you Anna and Francesca for everything!

Great hosting by Franca and her husband, very available and adorable! Ideally located accommodation because it is quiet while being close to Naples by transport (train 10 min walk from the accommodation then Naples center 15 min by train). Excellent pizzas right across!

Very nice place to feel home for the time of vacation. Don’t expect a hotel experience since the accommodation is rather simple. But everything you need is there and beyond that you can really feel home here. Sergio is a wonderful and helpful person. The pool is great! The property is very spacious and you have enough space for yourself. It’s a good spot to get around the area with the plenty of opportunities (Naples, Pompeji, Vesuvio, Amalfi,…) but you definitely need a car. We had a wonderful summer vacation here!

Our travel plans to visit Naples had very specific requirements. We wanted to take the train instead of driving. We needed to leave the dog in the house while we were in Naples. Vincenzo’s place was absolutely perfect. It was a 10 minute walk to the train station and less than 30 minutes into Naples. The car had a secure enclosed parking area in front of the house. The house was clean with simple furnishings and super pet friendly including a protective scratch panel on the front door Most importantly Vincenzo was super responsive to communication. Anna greeted us, walked us through the house and checked in with us from time to time to see if we needed anything. The house super clean, spacious and quiet in spite of being off a main road. It’s close to the downtown with plenty of shops and restaurants. We highly recommend Vincenzo’s place especially if you’re traveling with a pet.

This place was a beautiful oasis. More beautiful than the photos can show. It’s a perfect fenced property that our small dogs enjoyed. The house is really charming and tastefully decorated. The garden is huge and really tropical and well maintained. It was impeccably cleaned and well stocked. I loved staying here, thank you!

My family and I stayed at this location and it was a fantastic stay for our time in Naples. Everyone was taken aback by how beautiful and large the space was including the terrace. Dominico was very responsive and helpful. He even came to unclog a toilet for us. There is ample space for a large family to live and entertain and just enjoy the beauty of Naples. There's a great beach within walking distance where the locals go. They also rent kayaks there for the bay of Naples. The gelateria and cafe at the top of the hill are fantastic! Finally there's a pharmacy and a grocery store all within walking distance. There are 2 major businesses lines at the top as well. The only thing I would say to warn other guests about is the neighbor in the unit below. The best thing I can say is to keep the noise to a minimum as much as possible at night and simply ignore the woman below. Don't let her detract from your vacation because this house and location are wonderful. Thanks again Dominico!

The views at Villa FUENTI are breathtaking. The photos do not do it justice. Amazing villa with plenty of space inside and incredible outdoor space to enjoy. Jason and Gianluca are amazing hosts who will go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable and memorable. It is worth mentioning that you must use the shuttle service to take to the nearby towns to eat and shop as it is not possible to walk on the busy narrow road. This was not an inconvenience and the private shuttle is only 3 euros a person and will pick you up within 10 minutes after you call them. If you are looking for a private relaxing stay away from the busy feel of Positano or Amalfi this is absolutely your place. Thank you for an amazing stay !

We loved the place. It was a beautiful villa with great kitchen, great rooms, great garden, great view. The host was nice and helped us a lot. We will love to return. Very recommended

I can’t express how grateful I am that we stayed at this beautiful property hosted by Florestano and his daughter Elly! Elly from the moment we arrived made sure our stay would go smoothly with directions for easy transportation and recommendations for her personal favorite local restaurants (They were amazing…). She was very friendly, attentive, and helpful! The property and views were incredible! I will be thinking about the views from the balcony in the morning/sunset for a while! We enjoyed our stay very much and would love to be able to stay at this location again!! 10/10

Lorenzo was so friendly and helpful. I got my foot run over in Rome so we could not have the walking everywhere trip to Italy we had planned😭I could not walk on it for few days but we just hung out on the beautiful patio area with the most incredible gorgeous views. Lorenzo got some groceries and drinks brought in for us and we were set. He had an ice pack ready for me and suggested a wondeful healing cream.... wondeful host and very kind man. We would recommend this beautiful place to anyone!

We absolutely loved the garden and the pool, and Enzo’s dad was very sweet. The house was slightly shabby, but the bedrooms were comfortable and the air conditioning was really great. It was perfect for a family holiday, and we would definitely return to Ischia. The mini market is extremely useful and convenient. It was confusing that both the listing address and the map on the listing displayed different incorrect addresses. The last message Enzo sent contained the correct address, but it still left us confused and lost on arrival as the taxi driver had no idea where the house was. Luckily Enzo’s dad came and saved us. The kitchen was mostly well equipped, but lacked enough glasses, mugs and serving dishes to make cooking and serving family meals easy. However, we would still highly recommend the villa as the garden and pool made it a fabulous holiday destination. We loved Ischia. Enzo’s dad brought us homemade wine and eggs from the garden, and made us feel very welcome- many thanks!

Our 3-night stay in Praiano was the highlight of our trip—we only wish we had stayed longer! Francesca and Agostino were incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful. After a train delay in Naples, Agostino went out of his way to arrange a taxi for us and greeted us upon arrival, even though we got in late. He showed us around and even provided delicious snacks and treats, which were so appreciated after a long travel day. Waking up to the breathtaking views was incredible, and our kids loved swimming in the jacuzzi overlooking the ocean. The location is perfect—close to restaurants, the beach, and the bus stop to neighboring towns like Positano. We loved how quiet and charming Praiano is and are so glad we chose to stay here. Francesca and Agostino clearly take pride in their space and have thought of every detail, from the beautiful decor to all the modern luxuries and amenities. We would absolutely recommend this place to others and hope to return for a longer stay someday!

Giovanna’s place is true luxury with awesome host, great view, premium rooms, and wonderful gardens. We were welcomed by the host who gave us complete tour of the home, local recommendations and also had a cute ‘present’ for us in the form of welcome drinks 🥂 Due to weather we couldn’t have pool but the whole property is so mesmerising that we even forgot about pool. Photos do not do complete justice as this place is much more beautiful than photos. We can’t wait to come again 😊 Already missing our morning tea with the view. This propert is a true gem, premium luxury with super helpful host. Thanks for having us at your place!

We had an amazing time at Castle on the Moors with our family. Francesopaolo was a wonderful host. He gave us lots of tips which were helpful due to being in Italy over Easter along with clear instructions on how to get to the coastal Amalfi towns - Positano, Amalfi, Capri and Salerno. We took a number of trips to the neighboring towns. The location is a perfect distance to walk to Minori which has everything you need - coffee shops, restaurants, boat pier, grocery shopping and the beach. We also took a cooking class at Sotto i Limoni. We added the lemon grove tour and loved it. The experience was a highlight for our family and would recommend the class. We made a local pasta dish, Ndunderi, along with eggplant parmesan and tiramisu. We would have loved to have taken the pizza class as well. The home was a perfect place to enjoy the Amalfi coast sunshine and the terrace view was beautiful. Would highly recommend a stay with Francesopaolo!

The villa was wonderful, a perfect place to base yourself to explore the Amalfi region but also a fantastic little Italian town to explore in its own right with lots of restaurants, bars and lovely things to see within walking distance. Mario was incredibly helpful, personally making sure we got checked in OK and helping us out with various bits during our holiday. If you're looking for somewhere both to relax, but also as a great place for exploring in the evening and trips further afield it's a great place to be.

We had a great stay. The terrace/garden is perfect. Kids can play and is has different seating area’s to suit your needa throughout the day. The view is absolutely stunning. Communication with the hosts is easy and very friendly.

We enjoyed a wonderful week in Nunzia's house. It is very private and has a great view over Sorrento and the sea. The house fully met expectations. It was more than spacious for the 4 of us (family with 2 children aged 9 and 11), all rooms had air conditioning and the kitchen was equipped with all facilities. The washing machine was a nice side effect as we took a road trip through Italy. The swimming pool is one floor below (many stairs available from the general parking lot) and by the pool there were 4 comfortable sun loungers and umbrella. The location of the house was very nice. We made trips to Capri, Positano, downtown Sorrento and Vico Equense. Reaching the house via Google was exciting given the narrow streets and our Peugeot 3008. When you indicate Zio Sam (nice restaurant in the street) as a navigation address, you come across the right side and the streets are a little wider. Highly recommended to go!

We needed a cottage last minute and came to this. Lovely place, cottage has everything you need. Pool is a big plus. And the location is very nice. 10 min to Pompei and 40 min Amalfi. Top!

This rental worked out well for my family while we visited from the US. The house is in a peaceful, quiet, and private area. We did our research on the area and we knew this was in the country and not walkable. You really need a car if you’re going to stay here. This isn’t a negative in my opinion, just want other renters to be aware. The host was very kind and responsive. We would stay here again.
