My Blue Heaven—Family Home in the Heart of Lake Placid

Watch the world go by from one of the rockers on the wraparound porch. Spacious, inviting vintage home with updated decor. Two eating areas, cozy nook with wood stove. Walk to town & lake. Lots of space to relax & unwind. Equipped with desks & Wi-Fi for remote work. We look forward to hosting you and hope enjoy the magic of Lake Placid! We welcome parties of 10 or less with a maximum of 6 adults. No parties/events. No smoking. (Town Permit # STR-200292) Guests have access to the entire home with the exception of the garage interior, the basement and an owner's closet. We're available anytime via cell phone and have a property manager nearby who is available to address any issues. Set in a quiet neighborhood in the center of town, stroll from here to boutiques, cafes, and restaurants. Lake Placid, Mirror Lake and the original Olympics facilities are all within walking distance. Hop on the shuttle to reach Whiteface. Walk or drive as you like. A shuttle to Whiteface is available around the corner as well. We provide starter toilet paper, hand soap, shampoo, 2 hair dryers, all bed linens including pillows, towels and basic cleaning supplies. The kitchen is meant for cooking with pots, pans, mixing bowls and more! There is a supermarket right up the road (and plenty of speciality markets around town.) Happy eating!

This is the place for a wonderful, relaxing retreat. You’ll be pleasantly surprised when you open the door to your stay. It’s beautiful Adirondack decor is very welcoming and you will be very impressed with the sparkling cleanliness of this stay. Relax and enjoy all the comforts of home with WIFI, ATT and Verizon cell service. We have a full house generator, mini split for air conditioning, deck area, a grill, and an area with a fire pit all with the river and mountain view’s. Boat parking!

This place is wonderful! The minute we walked in the door we felt right at home. We stayed during February and took advantage of the snowy conditions in the area. After playing outdoors, we were able to come "home" and get warm and cozy. Joanne has done a beautiful job decorating. It has everything you need for cooking if you prefer that to eating out. It's also close to all the fun activities. We loved it and are hoping to stay again this summer.

Sharla’s place was exactly as described and pictured, and everything was extremely clean, organized and well-stocked. The children’s playroom and comfy beds were highlights! Sharla was an exceptionally kind, communicative and accommodating host, who answered my every message and question promptly. She even set up a crib for my youngest so it was ready for our late-night arrival, and added special touches to make our stay extra convenient and lovely. Can’t thank her or recommend her Airbnb highly enough!

My family of 5 used the house as our home base for an ice hockey tournament. It worked out great. The house is tucked from the traffic and other tourists, but close enough to the main part of the village to walk in to the game or the shops. We found the house cozy and comfortable. We didn’t want for anything and it was very clean. If you are planning to use the loft sleeping area, it is lovely but the ladder up to the loft is not for the faint of heart. It is very steep. We would definitely recommend the house for others looking to have Adirondack adventures.

Stayed here for 2 nights with the family and we absolutely loved it! We were upset we didn’t book for longer. We had no need to leave the property because we cooked at home, and there were so many fun games on property that the host provided. Only thing I would say is check the softness of the beds for preference, 1 bed is soft and the other harder - both comfy depending on preference ! Def planning on coming back!
