Cleanliness & Comfort The room was impeccably clean, with modern decor and a very comfortable bed. I felt at home the moment I walked in. Although the train station is just nearby to the room but I dont feel the sound of the train affect my stay. Amenities The amenities were top-notch like WIFI, kitchen, washing machine. I especially enjoyed the availability parking during night night time , which made my stay even more special. Overall Experience Overall, this was one of the best stays I’ve had in a long time. Whether you’re traveling for business or leisure, offers a perfect blend of comfort and fantastic service. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable stay!

Haruo’s place is in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood with easy access to highways and attractions nearby Yamanashi! The traditional Japanese house with beautiful backyard (with views of the mt Fuji when weather allows) is all you need for a great getaway! Haruo is very friendly and greeted us on arrival and gave us nearby recommendations for places to see and eat! We would definitely be back whenever we visit yamanashi again!

This stay is absolutely perfect. A perfect, beautiful home that’s a literal skip away from the Mt Fuji Welcome Area. The home was perfect and as described and our host was amazing at what he does. He came and picked us up from Fujikawa station and then drove us back when it was time to leave. Please let him come get you if he offers, you’ll need it! He then provided us a tour of the home, perfectly explained all amenities and how to properly use them. Please respect the home, it is very old and he worked very hard on it. We will be booking this home every time we visit Mt. Fuji in the future!

My husband and I had 3 great nights at Hill Top house. It was certainly dramatic excentuated by our arrival in the dark on the first night and waking in the morning to glorious sunshine and stunning views out to the Pacific, not to mention the monkey troop walking along the tree line behind the house. The house is as described and is a modernist gem. We would not hesitate to stay again. We only wished we had booked it for longer.

近くに住む者です。息子夫婦が赤ちゃん連れで来るのに利用しました。 花火の日は、近隣の旅館の宿泊費は高騰しますが、今回、祭日でも平日料金となり、かなりお得な感じがしました。 当初、１ヶ月間違えて予約してしまったのにも日程変更で対応してくださったり、忘れ物の扱いにも快く応じてくださったり、連絡が非常にスムーズでした。ありがとうございました。

Eine mega schöne Unterkunft, in der man seine Ruhe hat und die Natur genießen kann. Das Highlight ist das private Onsen, welches einen perfekten Abschluss eines jeden Tages bildet. Gabriel‘s Unterkunft steht definitiv wieder auf meiner Liste beim nächsten Aufenthalt in Hakone.

A rural retreat, off the tourist path, but easily accessible by train from Tokyo. We were keen for some rural Japan after quite a few stops in urban centres. The house is in a quiet, unspoilt setting. You can do short walks from the house that can include views of Mount Fuji down the valley. There's other places you can pop into too, such as the Owl Cafe or the wonderful deli/shop at the petrol station up the road. The house itself has kept its rustic and traditional appearance and features, while also having very functional equipment, from Wifi to everything you'd need for cooking. Some great places to read and relax in, from the garden to by the wood burner. We did not have car which was fine - it's just 6 minutes by taxi from the station, but a car would allow you to explore further afield. Ryo the host was very helpful with answering questions rapidly and clearly. I would highly recommend!

The location is close to the main road, there are many restaurants around, there is also a supermarket. This house have 2 floors is quite comfortable for 13 of us, 6 adults and also 7 children. All bedrooms are on the 2nd floor. There are 4 rooms here, we only use 3 rooms is enough, there is still 1 room with a tent to play. And 1 toilet near stairs. On the 1st floor there is a kitchen, dining room, bathroom, toilet, and a large playroom. Outside the house there is a large yard, suitable for children to play Unfortunately we arrived here at night and only slept overnight, the next morning we had to continue our journey so we couldn't enjoy the facilities

We had an amazing time during our 3 day weekend ! Place was exactly as per the pictures and we had the feeling of being in another country ! Beach really close by (walkable distance but with hill to get back to the house), convenient store and grocery shopping near by if you have a car. Would happily come back for holidays !

Michael非常温暖有趣，他的房屋干净整洁，用心装点。其实房屋的位置去附近的城崎海岸、大室山⛰️、仙人掌公园都不远。仔细看Michael提供的guide book，里面有很多的购物、餐饮和旅游建议～伊豆是个安静的海边小镇，天气好时能清楚的在阳台看到蔚蓝的大海，记得沿着房子周围散散步，你会看到邻居的花园正盛开美丽的花朵，还有时不时会串出的小松鼠🐿️和鸟儿～是个放松和享受自然的好地方～祝大家开心❤️🌸

文句なしの満点の宿でした。 今回は家族3人での宿泊でしたが、天気もよかったので夜景も綺麗で、周りにも建物もないので、とても静かに過ごせました。 朝も何も遮るモノがない景色で最高の時間でした。 次回は友人や他の家族含めてなど大人数で来てバーベキューしたいです。

サウナ、水風呂、天然温泉はいずれも気持ちよく利用できました！施設の説明もわかりやすくしていただき、快適に宿泊することができました。

メッセージで質問すると、親切かつ迅速に回答いただけました。　 子ども連れで安心して滞在できました。

地理位置非常好，走路去溫泉、吃飯、便利店都只需要5分鐘，我們在這裡住了4個晚上，開車去富士山也只需要50分鐘。2月天氣很冷，幸好房子裡有烘乾機，洗了衣服可以馬上乾。

The pricing is roughly the same as a local business hotel, but a bit more spacious so that was nice. Basically a small one room Japanese apartment, you sit on the floor. If you're a westerner and not used to sitting on the floor it would be uncomfortable. There was a small desk with a small folding chair -- but nothing you would want to sit on for any length of time. I was in Tokyo for a few days on business with a car, and there is a lot of cheap parking nearby which was nice. Good location with convenience stores and restaurants. Everything was clean and worked well. No problems.

Great location and friendly host

Me and my daughter loved staying here. It had a traditional Japanese style room which we loved. It was a little cold, but we were given plenty of heaters and that helped. Located in a very quiet and cosy spot. We hired a car and drove from Tokyo, which I highly recommend if you visit. There is so much to see in the area if you have a car.

8 years on, we returned to stay in this magnificent place. how far its come in 8 years, there is a whole amazingly curated experience now for the guests (no spoilers), interior has changed, garden, Bon fire, in floor Japanese fire pit for cooking. we went to the local grocer and bought everything to make yakitori. What an amazing time again.

We had a fantastic stay at Reiko’s place in Machida! The apartment was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The location was super convenient, with a grocery store and a 7-11 just a short walk away, making it easy to grab essentials. The nearest train station is about a 12-15 minute walk, and from there, you can reach most parts of Tokyo in about an hour, making this a great spot for those who want a peaceful stay with easy city access. Reiko was an absolutely wonderful host! She lives downstairs, but the apartment is completely private on the upper floor. She was incredibly kind and thoughtful, even leaving us some delicious food and snacks upon check-in, which was such a warm welcome after a long journey. Communication was smooth, and she was always available for any questions. If you’re looking for a cozy, well-located stay with a truly exceptional host, this is the perfect place. We would love to stay here again!

Jun was very prompt and accommodating. Thankfully he allowed us to store luggage before check in cos there were zero lockers available at Odawara station and so many tourists were scrambling. The flat was much bigger than our Airbnb in Tokyo and we had lots of floor space to open our luggages. I appreciated sweet touches like the lighted bulbs at the stairs to the entrance at night and magic pens for our kid to entertain herself. Note that this flat is on level 2 on a narrow metal stairway.

大人6人、子ども3人で1泊。夕方のBBQで使う野菜を収穫させてもらいに畑へ行きました。子どもたちはオクラをカゴに入れたり、トトロが持っているような葉っぱの傘をもらったりして楽しみました！近くには水が流れていて、トンボを観察したりもしました。生き物探しや水遊びも楽しめそうでした。 何より、ここの有機栽培のお米が美味しい✨大人も子どもも、お米をもりもり食べました！！子どもがもう少し大きくなったら、ぜひ秋の収穫時期や田植えの時期に来たいと思いました。 夜は、街灯が少ないのでとても暗くて、星や花火がとてもキレイでした⭐️エアコンがなくサーキュレーターのみなので最初は辛く感じましたが（8月中旬）たくさん汗をかいて、風の気持ちよさや冷たい水の心地よさ、ビールの美味しさを感じ、これも田舎体験の醍醐味なのかもしれない、と思いました。 おじちゃんがとてもいい人で、声をかけるといろいろ教えてくれ、お米や野菜を持ってきてくれたり、子どもたちを孫のように可愛がってくれたり、ほどよい距離で見守っていてくれました！
