Farmstay vacation rentals in Fox River

The house was very spacious for our family of 6. We loved the location, view, and short drive to everything we wanted to do.

I had a great experience with Matt & Laura. They did a great job communicating and their property is very nice!

April and Steve made sure we had everything we needed for our stay and have a very clean home. We weren't able to stick around and enjoy the land but I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

We have been to this area for several years. This place was perfect, quiet and beautiful. I loved looking out the big window to watch the sunrise while having my coffee. Beautiful farm and horses.

Jeff and Emily’s cabin provided a perfect homebase for exploring the outstanding local food and art scene of the Driftless region. We found the vintage cabin exactly as described…it was spotless, warm, bright. We especially loved the handmade quilts, cozy bed, comfy pillows, lush linens, and the lovely handmade ceramic dishes made by the local artisans at Wilson Creek Pottery. The view is indeed fantastic! Sitting by the firepit at sunset (with occasional visits from the friendly barn cats and chickens) was a highlight. Emily was quick to respond, warm and friendly, and provided great recommendations. We are looking forward to our next (and hopefully longer!) visit. Lisa and Rich

This is our second time staying at this wonderful home. We have two young boys and the ability to run around and fly kites outside was a highlight of our experience. We so appreciate Terri and Dan accommodating us while we visited the area!

This place is suitable for a small family or a few adults. Very clean and well thought-out amenities made it quite attractive. Because we were very busy at Road America every day, we did not have an opportunity to use the kitchen except to make coffee, but had we wanted to cook, I'm sure we would have found everything needed. The only "warning" is that anyone with some mobility issues might find the stairway to the second floor a bit daunting. If we need a place in the area again, we would likely choose this house again.

We loved our stay at Highview! The iffy weather allowed us to take advantage of the cozy, comfortable cabin as we spent a day inside reading, playing games, and enjoying the spectacular view- even on a cloudy day. When it was nice, we hiked Apple River Canyon, checked out some wineries and had a fun dinner at JJ & Freddie's right down the road. The bartender/owner was friendly and full of recommendations. Thank you Dan Kellie for opening your beautiful cabin to us. WE would love to come back and experience the beautiful surroundings in every season. 

I have stayed here numerous times, and every time I'm impressed! They have made several improvements over the years, and it can't be beat! We walked around the property, played in the tree house and swing, enjoyed the hot tub and patio. I wish it were summer, the pond is awesome! There is something for everyone here, and you will not be bored. The host, Jason, is super quick and responsive to anything you may need! Comfy beds & furniture throughout the home! The home is absolutely spotless, which is always appreciated. Highly recommend 5/5.

The Goodly Farm is an oasis. We had a wonderful time letting our worries melt away. There are so many beautiful little spots you can curl up with a book inside or outside. And if you enjoy farm animals, Poncho, Banjo, and Mrs. Murphy will show you a good time.

Ugh I want to gatekeep this place so bad, but I just can’t. This place is incredible, it’s so quiet, cozy and romantic. It’s honestly perfect, so spacious yet cozy. I cannot wait to come back. The real thing I loved the most was the genuine care that went into this home. The personalized notes, the guest book, the snacks, it was such a beautiful slice of life moment. I felt honored to be there. I’ve been through so much recently, and this beautiful safe haven was the most incredible experience I could have ever asked for. Only thing I forgot to bring was some lush bath bombs for that gorgeous tub! Now please no one read this review so I can have this place to myself 😜😆❤️

Linda and Doug were exceptional hosts. Very warm and welcoming, gave great suggestions for to-do’s/food in the area. The cabin was the perfect size for two people and the bed was comfy! We hiked through the woods and had a fire - perfect overnight getaway. The place felt isolated which is exactly what we wanted. We would definitely revisit! Thank you both so much for such a warm welcome.

The schoolhouse was a wonderful place for us to stay. It’s private, quiet, & couldn’t have been any cuter. The completely fenced-in backyard was perfect for our two new little puppies. Betty was great to deal with and very friendly and responsive. We really enjoyed the fresh eggs!!

We had a wonderful stay. The place was super cozy, and the bed I had was comfy, I slept like a baby. Loved the bathtub upstairs, and also the chocolates were delicious and a nice touch. We really loved how close it was to Wildcat Mountain and Kickapoo Valley reserve, and also how quiet it was. We really needed a break from our busy Madison lives. We love to be able to cook where we stay and Leah had literally everything we needed, down to the blender and the right number of pans. We also loved the little reminder signs about the plumbing, very creative and well done. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!

We were incredibly pleased with our stay at Gary & Laura’s! Their apartment looked exactly like the photos, was incredibly clean, and had added amenities that made it extra special! Thank you for the snacks and fresh danish, along with the abundance of clean linens and a well-appointed kitchen for cooking! The apartment was private and comfortable, and Gary & Laura sent very clear instructions for finding their place and checking in. Would highly recommend!

She describes the home as on an active farm and she delivered. We was visiting to see my 10 month old granddaughter and she came to visit and see the horses. It’s an amazing working family farm and absolutely amazing. We enjoyed every aspect of our visit and the family is so accommodating. They had a new born foal that was so cute. We hope to visit again in the future.

We could not be happier with our stay. It was just a weekend but so relaxing…exactly what we needed. I dealt with Elizabeth who could not have been more helpful even offering tips for one of my pups who was anxious for unknown reasons (other dog was fine). The property was beautiful, house was clean, hot tub was fantastic! We would absolutely stay again. If you’re looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of life this is the place to do it.

Dennis and Brad’s place is nothing short of magical! I love when you walk in and you can tell who a person is by their decorations. I am so impressed by every detail. 10/10 would be back, and would love to stay in one of the other cabins on the property. Thank you for pouring love into these homes and the land!

This house is absolutely beautiful and perfect for a family. It's literally equipped with everything you need. I had a problem with the Keurig, notified the host & she was super responsive. She came right over to take a look at it & when she couldn't fix it she took it & returned with another one. She set the new one up & everything worked perfectly. She recommended Wild Fun Zone & my kids had a blast there. Will definitely consider booking again when busing Wisconsin Dells. Thank you

Such a beating and amazing space. It was perfect for what my boyfriend and no were looking for. The house was so beautifully decorated and it felt so clean and comfortable. I absolutely loved the mattress, it made me search for one of my own. I really loved our stay here and if we are ever in the area, I would stay again in a heartbeat

Ginger is so sweet and has such an amazing farm. My kids really enjoyed seeing the animals and had plenty to do around the farm and in the home. My family and friends found the stay very comfortable and the house won us over with it's charm and layout. We were in town for a wedding, but this would be the perfect place for a country get away with multiple families or lots of kids of different ages. The only down side was that we happened to be there during lady bug season so there were a few around the house, but that didn't detract from our wonderful experience and 5 star rating.
