This basement apartment was adorable and the hosts thought of everything to make this convenient. We never saw them, but it was nice knowing they were upstairs. Yes, occasional footsteps due it being an older but remodeled home, but not the least disturbing. Thank you to Lauren for all the attention to detail. Bed was very comfortable too!

The place was clean, private, well equipped for a short stay, and in a good, quiet neighborhood. Synta was very communicative and helpful. Would stay again!

This is a gem you don’t want to miss if you are going to sightsee in DC! An easy 20 minute walk to the metro train station that will put you right by the museums, airports, restaurants, etc. Super clean and cozy place and a friendly host! She even had umbrellas for us, which came in handy for an unexpected rain storm. This was the perfect place for us to rest and recharge!

Everything was great. Love the fact that it was only a 10min drive to the pool where my water polo tournament was held. I got lucky almost every night with parking, which was in front. One day I had to park around the corner but it wasn’t a far walk at all. They gave me places to eat and drink which worked out when I met an HS friend. Communication was great. Every other day or so they would check on me to see if I needed something, not in person but through messages. Which was great. Tv was loaded with apps, all you needed was you sign in info. Will totally rent from them again.

My parents came to Maryland for the first time to visit us and spend time with their granddaughter and they were so happy in Melissa’s place! They had everything they needed to have a comfortable and restful stay. You would barely know this is a basement unit with its spaciousness, kitchen area, living room and even sunlight through the bedroom window. Everything was immaculately clean, the bed was comfortable, and they’re within walking distance to a beautiful park. The only challenge they encountered was the step into the bathroom but we knew about that in advance thanks to Melissa’s proactive communication and transparency. Melissa was so responsive and it was a relief to me to know my parents were in a safe, clean and lovely place within walking distance of us. Now they’re excited to visit us again and stay in Melissa’s place!

We really enjoyed our 5 day stay at Autumn's place. The neighborhood was beautiful and we enjoyed being able to walk to daily mass at the neighborhood Catholic Church, which was a real treat for us! Autumn was very responsive and accommodating to all of our questions and requests. We had groceries delivered to make breakfast a few mornings and that was really nice. Her place has all the amenities we needed for our stay. Finally, this was the easiest checkout experience we've ever had using AirBnB!

Edward was one of the most proactive, responsive AirBnB stays that we've ever had. Clear instructions via text beforehand and during check out, nicely detailed book with recommendations and details about the stay in a binder inside, pristine place with everything we needed in the kitchen, and even a fun dog that made our trip even more memorable. We lucked out finding this space available and would love to come again.

Great location in a beautiful neighborhood. It was convenient to have a parking spot in the back with easy access to the apartment. Emily was super kind and accommodating with setting up the sofa bed for an extra guest. The place also included toiletries and a full kitchen setup in case of cooking dinner. Overall, a welcoming apartment, very clean, and spacious.

Rohaan’s home was very nice. Accurately described, and welcoming. He gave us clear instructions for check in, and exactly that happened. Overall, the space was clean and very nice. Movie theater was great. Wonderful experience!

My fiancée and I loved Aliya’s place & will definitely be booking again. It has all the entertainment you need under one roof that you don’t have to leave the house to spend any additional money. She has the home theater with the popcorn , massage chair, pool table, video games, & board games just something for everybody to enjoy. This is one of the best AirBNB’s I’ve stayed in thus far.

Our stay was wonderful! The location was easy to find, super clean, had everything we needed, and the hosts were always responsive. Perfected located from restaurants and the fairgrounds, where our concert was. We really enjoyed our stay!

Serena allowed me to park on her property which saved me the trouble and money for paid parking. She was communicative and kind. The house is a 2 minute Uber or an easy walk to the Metro, and about 25 minutes to downtown. I would definitely stay here again.

Michael's place has minimalist yet cozy style, simple and clean. I love the stairway approach to the basement apartment, it feels so intimate, private, and secure. The neighborhood felt very quiet and walkable, though I did not spend much time there. Bonus for the bikeshare station across the street. Michael's amazing instructions and descriptions precluded my needing to communicate with him much directly, but when I did, he was prompt in his response and very helpful. I would definitely stay here again if it is available.

Graham was a fantastic host. Extremely responsive and expectations/instructions very clearly laid out. Place was extremely clean and location was incredible. Easy to get to Union Station, Stanton Park, The Capital, Eastern Market and H St Streetcar which can easily get you to places like the Queen Vic. Im shocked this place isn’t more expensive per night - bed was comfortable, AC worked perfectly, no smell, and didn’t feel like you were in an English basement. 10/10 highly recommend staying at this location, probably best place Ive stayed at.

Very well appointed kitchen. I really enjoyed being able to easily cook. the washer and dryer were so nice and better than mine at home! The hosts were very responsive and nice. We enjoyed the Studio Ghibli theme and even watched a movie.

My fiancée and I drove in from Ohio to visit the DC area for the first time and Katie & Marcus did not disappoint! Great communication, willing to accommodate and recommended some great places to eat at. Would recommend to anyone wanting an authentic Takoma Park/DC experience!

We visited Alexandria for my husband’s 50th birthday celebration. We chose Wayne and Laura’s place because of its location and we were not disappointed. Their home is charming and comfortable with all of the amenities we needed. It was close enough to walk to King Street if we wanted to. Parking in front of the home was perfect! Proximity to DC was great too! Communication with hosts was excellent. This was a great place to stay and am looking forward to returning. Thanks Wayne and Laura for such a lovely place and making us feel at home 🙂.

I highly recommend this place for those needing to visit the area or surrounding DC areas. We had to be in The Wharf area in DC for work-related reasons, and this place was much better than any of the hotels there. The place is exactly as described. And the hosts were extremely accommodating to our departure time given our unusual work schedule. Within 15-minute drive there are numerous restaurants and parks, and we were only about 40 minutes from the Wharf area. Excellent place to stay!

Teri was an amazing host, super communicative and friendly! Our stay was seamless from the time we got there to when we left. The area we stayed in was small, but had everything we needed and was super clean and cozy! Perfect for a weekend in DC.
