Vacation rentals with lake access in Floyd County

This review is long overdue, but Evelyn's Cottage was amazing. Originally started out as a business trip, but turned into a mini family vacation on my birthday. Christine is great. Great communicator, accomodated my VERY blended family. Being from South Carolina, this place felt like home. I would definelty recommend this place for anyone trying to get away from the hustle and bustle and to a charming antinque cottage on a farm. 5 stars for accomodations, cleanliness, responsivness and southern hospitality. Thanks Christine! Look forward to seeing you again.

The house was really cute and cozy, nicely decorated and welcoming. Very clean and conveniently located. The host welcomed us with some fresh eggs which we had for breakfast along with the coffee provided! We would definitely stay here again

We enjoyed getting away and being around some water all weekend. We fished, kayak, swam in the lake and grilled out ! We loved the porch swing as we even took a nap after a long day in the sun! The details and decor of this cabin were absolutely beautiful & didn’t go unnoticed! We caught several brim, a couple crappie and a few catfish! We definitely can’t wait to go back! Our last day there stormed all day and we loved that we were able to still get some fishing in straight off the front porch thank you so much for having us!

Fantastic accommodations, perfect relaxing scene and a wonderful welcome by the family Shepard in the evenings. The place is perfect if you want to disconnect from everyday life to relax. Internet is slow, so working from the location can present a challenge, otherwise it was a great place to stay while in my work contract for three months. Rhoda is wonderful and communicated well throughout my stay.

This place was amazing. Plenty of room for everyone. Wish the front steps had a railing as my parents struggled a bit with the steps. The back door steps did have a railing but the ground was uneven and difficult for them to get to the back to. Also a step stool for the master bed, as it is rather high. The grounds as perfect for hiking.

We traveled to the area for our daughter’s wedding. Most of us traveling from out of town were able to stay together (10 of us) and we were able to bring our two dogs. They have so much fenced in yard for the dogs that it was more than enough for our very active husky to run and play. The fences are all well maintained so we knew he was safe to run without getting out. They even have a pet door so they could go out to use the bathroom and come in when ready. The home is spacious and was more than enough space for all of us and the hosts were great about letting us have local family join us there so we could all be together before the wedding to hang out. I will definitely be checking to see if this home is available the next time we all have to come down. Having a safe space for ourselves and our dogs is a win-win and so hard to find!

Catching a largemouth bass (once the friendly caretaker, Allen, showed me where they liked to hide) for dinner became a daily ritual and an unexpected treat! This is easily one of the nicest Airbnb's I have stayed at in many years!
